Sounds Fine
My other speakers are all BOSE and very nice quality and I have an Onkyo THX reciever. This speaker provides rich depth that is needed to balance out with the other speakers.

Great surround speaker
I ordered two speakers. One speaker was great. The other one was defective. The seller sent replacement but took a week to get which is OK if you’re not in a hurry.

Compact Audio Surprise
Compact Audio Surprise!I purchased two Polk Audio TL 1 speakers in an attempt to add true 5.1 Surround Sound for a Yamaha YHT-S401 sound bar. While I was pretty happy with the YHT-S401's "virtual" 7.1 capabilities, adding the TL 1's as satellite surround sound left/right speakers for true 5.1 sound to this sound bar system really created a superior sound stage experience.Good to know:-Excellent value-.5" Silk dome tweeter , 2.5" midrange driver and injection-molded diaphragm results in surprising well blended sound-Very good high frequency capabilities; less capable with low frequencies but was designed to be pared with a separate subwoofer-High quality, solid construction made of molded high-density resin-Beautiful piano-black resin = lots of fingerprints-Best for small to mid-sized rooms-I carefully compared the TL1s to the more expensive (larger speaker, tweeter & driver ) Polk Satellite TL2's in the same series and while the TL 2's sounded great too, I didn't hear any improvements in my setup and room size over the less expensive ( smaller speaker, tweeter, driver) TL1s.-For the best 5.1 surround sound experience try placing these or any other satellite ( surround Left/Right) speakers at ear level and to the left and right of where you normally sit--not behind you.Note for Yamaha YHT-S401 owners, when I first connected these speakers to the YHT-S401's receiver ( SR/SL) the volume from these speakers was very low. However, once I adjusted the Left/Center/Right speakers on the sound bar to -1 for Left/Right sound bar speakers and 0 for the center sound bar speaker the TL 1 performed as expected even loud ( I have the TL 1 set to +3/+4 ). Also don't forget to change the sound bar from 3Ch to 5 Ch when using the TL 1 satellite speakers.

Diminutive but not in sound
I bought a pair to up my home theater from 7.2 to 9.2 and I love them. I am likely to buy another pair to replace my front height channels.

cross-over problem
I bought 2 of these small sat. speakers and was very happy with clarity from a small speaker. After one year the crossover died on one of the speakers making it unusable. I contacted Bose and their reps were knowledgeable ,but even though there is a 5 year warranty, they would only send new parts to replace the problem. It is fairly easy to take the speaker apart, but so far they have only sent two cones one of which was damaged and the wrong part for this model. What broke was the cross over and still waiting to see if they can make this right for me, so far it has taken 2 months

Great 7.1 surround sound
I bought 6 of these and TL SERIES subwoofer and center speaker connected to denon 7.2 receiver for small basement area it sounds good for the price. Without occupying any space on the floor provides similar quality sound with these wall mounted satellite speaker for 150 inch 4K projection on wall . I was able to setup a budget level 7.2 Dolby atmos home theater without compromising the quality

Get Happy Ears!
Got a pair from Amazon Warehouse for less than $100. Listed as slightly scratched, they came in pristine condition, if you ignore a couple fingerprints where they had been inspected. These are nice, efficient 2 ways. Polk lists them at 89db. They make great satellite/surrounds and have a broad dynamic range to them, considering the woofer size. I was able to kick down the crossover frequency of my surround channels from 240hz to 120hz and the TL1s sounded very clear. While they are fine for video surround playback, where I thought they really shined was in 5.1 audio playback. I have an extensive and eclectic music collection, and these ate up everything I threw at them...Jazz, Blues, Rock, R&B, Punk, Synth-Pop, Trance, Trip-hop, Dubstep, Classical. Upgrade those crappy old single speaker satellites that came with your 5.1 or 7.1 system with a pair of these. Your ears will be glad you did.
