At last! A 2m folding rule where the measurements don't scuff away!
With this you can measure up to 2m without a second pair of hands, and it folds nicely in to 22cm increments to do shorter measurements easily & quickly. So far so good, but Stabila & Festools have rules which do that, I hear you say?But as this is plastic, with engraved measurements [that are easy to see - black on orange], it's survived everyday use, carried around in a rule pocket, and the rule edge markings don't scuff away like painted wood versions.Plus which it is sturdily but, but flexible enough to use as a 2m cable rod - for fishing cables between downlight cutouts for example. It even has a teardrop-shaped hole at one end for that purpose.AND it has ready-made spacing marks for flush boxes. Imperial as well as metric measurements would have been the icing on the cake [but that's only cos I'm an old git who uses both]Top marks Wiha!

Good handy item.
I was a bit sceptical about this rule as it did seem cheap for a Wiha branded tool however it's feels well made, a solid item. It's folded size makes it fit into a tool box easily, it fits perfectly into my Dewalt Tstak drawer tool box without a problem. It is sometimes easier to use a solid ruler rather than a steel tape especially if you are measuring above your head as often the steel rule will fold on you!I will probably buy another one soon.

How did I ever live without this?
Why have I never seen a tradesmen in the UK with one of these on site? Apparently they are used loads in Europe and it turns out every pair of work shorts and trousers I own have a special pocket for exactly this! Well I can see why they are so popular and I can’t believe I didn’t have one for the last decade…Barely used a tape measure this past week at work. This is way easier for many of my measuring needs.Seems durable and the markings a clear

Rules rule, and this one rules the rules.
Folding rules are the weapon of choice in most of Northern Europe. Every self-respecting builder and tradesman has one sticking out the rule pocket of his or her work trousers. I'm in agreement with them and always prefer to use a folder instead of a tape measure. These Wiha are possibly the best plastic rule I've used with deeply cut marks that won't get scraped off in a hurry. Really flexy for going round curves (plastic rules are much more flexible than wooden ones), and the cable puller which looks like a gimmick, actually works really well.
