High quality!
Great collar. High quality, works! I love that it's black and blends in with my dog's black fur.My dog knows when this collar comes out, we are going for a walk! This is my second collar like this (somehow I lost the first one and needed to replace). Happy to do it, it's worth the money!

Collar falling off
Good product! I will say something I never thought about before buying was my rotties neck rolls ๐ her collar kept falling off and we didnโt understand why until we realized her neck rolls were pushing on the clasp on both sides

Alpha Dog Training Collar
My Shih Tzu alpha male dog is in training. He is a stubborn guy and needed the prong collar to get his attention. I am working with a trainer to make sure I am using the collar properly. Also, he has a small neck and this was the only collar that I found that adjusted to fit him. I recommend this collar for training purposes only.

Well Made Training Collar
My trainer suggested this collar. It is really helping me train my puppy how to walk on a leash. He was terrified to even try to go for a walk. The trainer and I worked with him using hers. It was a game changer. She taught me how to use it properly. It is a high quality product and you can take out and add links as needed.

Overall a great collar....
I've tried a lot of version of the claw/pinch collar, and this is by far my favorite. I have two. One is for my 3YO Pitsky, and the husky in her wants to pull us around the world. She has been to obedience school and knows how to walk nicely, but sometimes she forgets because she takes her role as The Leader of The Mission very seriously. This collar (in small) reminds her that she can march ahead without constantly dragging us. Everyone in the family, even the 10YO, can walk her as long as she's got that little pinch to remind her not to pull. She hated the collar getting pulled over her head, and my Lyme-disease riddled joints can't handle squeezing and undoing the links every time, so I love, love, love the snap buckle. The collar is set up to loosen or tighten depending on the dog's actions, without every going into an actual choke position. The Leader doesn't care if she has to hang herself to proceed with The Mission, so we like that the collar doesn't give her the chance. My only complaint is that there is no good choice between the small/medium (which technically goes to 19") and the large, which is ENORMOUS. My 1YO pup is a Golden Retriever/Great Dane/Malinois mix. He is very tall and narrow, and well-mannered unless he sees a flock of turkeys or seagulls or.... His neck is probably 18 3/4 inches and I'm sure he's got some growing to do yet. He has the Golden coat (but black) and the small/medium version of this collar is just a little too small and tangles in his fur. The large size is HUGE on him. I would have to remove all of the extra links to make it fit, which kind of defeats the purpose of the claw collar. Since there is the clasp with leather on either side and the chain piece, there are fewer links than a normal claw collar anyhow, which is fine for us. I'll keep the large for when/if it fits him, but for now I stole a link from the the petite Pitsky's collar and that has helped the small fit both of them a little better. I wish there was an 18-23" 2.25 size, but otherwise this is a great collar.

There are better HS options.
This isn't a bad pinch collar but it isn't the best. The first thing to consider is that this doesn't use a "D RING" which I would have preferred but didn't notice when I bought it. The second and perhaps major issue was the quick release. If you are hooking it up "in the blind" and you hear it "click" you might think you have a good connection but it often only hooks to one side of the clip. While this is a metal clip and it seems like it will hold with only a half connection, that is not ideal. The 2.25 mm size takes some getting use to if you are use to larger links but that is not a dig. The 2.25 mm size works well on most dogs regardless of size.In the end we ordered a new HS 2.25 mm pinch in stainless steel and the ClicLock. The choice to change for the black Stainless Steel to the black was kind of safety related. In case we accidentally put our German Shepherd in its crate with the collar on, the black stainless isn't easy to see around his neck while the stainless is. So far the ClicLock has worked well. IMO, there is no chance to have a bad connection if you hear the solid click it makes. Also, the safety cover preventing an accidental pushing of the disconnect button is a nice safety feature.
