I spent ages looking for the right frame - not too plastic looking and no pointless wifi where you're forced to use apps and other nonsense. This frame is simplistic perfection - downloaded about 1500 images and videos onto a small USB and away you go... couple of simple options to configure using the remote control (which handily stores by magnet on the back) and that's it!Would be nice if the videos would be a bit longer as they are capped at 15 seconds, but it's a minor quibble for what is a great product...

I have two Nix photo frames, larger than this particular item but I wanted one to display 7x5 portrait photos only. I did buy another product but return that item as the quality was useless and reordered this Nix frame. I should have ordered it first. The quality, like my other two frames, is very good and it is well made, reliable and displays the photos perfectly.I now own three Nix frames , the other 2 are around 6 years old, and none of them have caused a problem. I can now enjoy all my (12000) holiday and family photos which were once just 'hidden away' on computers and memory sticks and forgotten. They are there in the background bringing memories back every 5 minutes (display time) which has been great during the lockdown.

Bought this to replace a dead Kodak M820. Wanted something with a bigger screen that would also take the usb stick already in use. Reviews seemed to point to Nix and I haven't been disappointed.Setup was as easy as plugging in the usb stick and powering up. I set the display for shuffle, random transitions, auto rotate and images/videos. Easy as pie.Bonus is the timer setting and motion detection.Shows all images and videos seamlessly which our old Kodak never did with greater clarity .Only niggle is that when there is an image that displays inverted or sideways for some reason the rotation applied to correct the orientation doesn't get stored for when the image shows again. This may be down to the default auto rotate setting but I don't want to turn it off because it would mean going through all the images and orienting them for display.Mounted on the wall and despite advice to the contrary the remote can still be magnetically attached behind the screen. Bit fiddly to remove and replace but once setup not really needed and stops it getting lost .

Really good frame, especially for the money. Looks good for different angles, remote control feels solid and simple to use. Easy to plug USB in the back of the frame to keep photos up to date without having to sign up to another app.

I chose this frame because I wanted one that stores all images on a USB stick or a memory card, without needing to be connected to wifi or the cloud, or needing a phone app.It works well and has excellent image quality.

I buy a lot of things from Amazon and I very rarely write reviews as I haven't got the time. However, I'm so pleased with this product I feel compelled to make an exception. The machine is stylish and sleek. The plug and play aspect is spot on. The quality of photo reproduction is excellent. I've zillions of photographs and have had digital photo frames before and was so dissatisfied I didn't think it was worth bothering again but this one is does the job perfectly and am over the moon at being able to look at all those photographs that I never thought I would see again unless I hunted through the computer. I would recommend it to anyone and would particularly recommend it as a gift. The fact that someone has even gone to the trouble of thinking about a magnetic way of sticking the remote to the back of the frame speaks volumes...

I was impressed by the quality of packaging and the quality and finish of the product. It was fairly easy to set up - as usual these days the basic "getting started" manual was adequate but I always like a more detailed manual which describes all the operations fully. I was disappointed that there isn't one to download from the Nix website, just another copy of the basic guide.That said navigating the menu system was reasonably straightforward.Picture quality is very good and perfectly good enough for a frame of this size (I had the 10.1" model).There are so many similar frames that it is almost impossible to make a choice especially given the bad press that Amazon reviews and star-ratings have been given lately but I feel relieved that I have not made a bad choice with this one.
