Great product when considering reach, portability and storage capabilities
I love my little ladder. Purchased it 10 year ago and still using it. Awesome product when considering reach, portability and storage capabilities. It is fairly lightweight while being sturdy enough to feel safe and solid. It easily fits in my trunk or behind the back seat and does not take much space in the garage. The steps are ribbed (aluminum) for better traction, and there is a padded handle under the bottom step for easy carry. There is also a wrap-around strap to keep the ladder shut while collapsed. The ladder is all aluminum, so rust shouldn’t be an issue. It measures 18.5” W x 27” H x 3.5” D while collapsed. There are rubber feet for better grip on the ground, but I wish the top yellow plastic caps were rubber as well to have a better grip on whatever it is leaning against. While the ladder is great and how it works is quite clever, you do have to be careful when folding it back. There are yellow thumb sliders below each step which are spring-loaded and reveal a green dot when the step above is extended. This signals a safe extend and locking of the step. To collapse the above step back into the ladder, the sliders have to be pushed towards each other (slide inwards) to cover the green dot which is when the top step/s slides down. If not careful, it may come crashing down on your fingers, so keep those fingers away or wrapped around the frame of the ladder. All of these extendable ladders work like that and like other ladders models you have to know how they function and be careful while folding. I can definitely recommend this ladder. Just know what you’re getting, meaning length and max weight load and how to use it. The ladder is super portable and quite handy, I would just like to see the top caps upgraded to rubber. I highly recommend this product.

Super RV ladder! And great for the home as well!
Great ladder and easy to use! This 770p ladder is ANSI type II rated for 225 lb. weight capacity, and OSHA compliant for safety. Other similar ladders which are half the price claim 300lb capacity but do not back that up with an industry standard rating or quality compliance standard. That is also why this ladder is only rated at a conservative 225lbs but is much heavier duty than some cheaper versions rated higher. This ladder uses airplane grade aluminum. If you require 300lb rating or tougher version, look for Type IA or the pro version 780p. I also bought the top rung silicone cover and it fits perfect (TC811) and really helps protect walls from dents or scratches, as well as from slipping at the top. This ladder weighs 27lbs which is not light but you don’t want light when it comes to being that far in the air. Before purchasing, do yourself a favor and get something which weighs 30lbs and lift it before buying. If you have average coordination, this ladder is simple for one person to extend quickly and collapse with no issues. Some user comments indicate it takes two people or that the ladder is not safe. I disagree. I fully extend it by myself in less than a minute. Please treat this like any other extension ladder which puts you high in the air! You should be sure about properly extending/retracting (making sure both green dots are showing), making sure it is level, angled correctly, on sure footing, leaning against something which can secure the weight, abiding by manufacturer’s recommendations, etc. Also the instructions state that the unused rungs when not fully extended are kept at the TOP of the ladder.I found the ladder to be very stable and solid. Perhaps some people angle their ladder too flat against something but if you keep it at the proper angle there is hardly any difference in this ladder than a nonprofessional extension ladder. I had no problem (180lbs) going up and down this ladder fully extended with tools to reach the top of my RV, as well as general ladder needs around my home. It stores nicely under the bed of the RV when not in use. 32” closed height. The anodized finish is easy to clean. It has a soft pad underneath the lower section of the ladder for your hand so you can hold it under your arm for easy carrying.I’m sure this would work for any need but if more than just light duty home use, I recommend purchasing the pro models.I’d recommend using gloves if you must put your hand in-between rungs when collapsing (which shouldn’t happen) or instead put the ladder on the ground and collapse the rungs by hand. If you have a concern about how much force is on the release mechanisms when released, put something shock absorbing in-between the rung while retracting and pull it out after a rung is retracted. I use some old cardboard doubled over.I would not hesitate buying this ladder again.

Best ladder
This ladder rocks. I used it for the first time today and it is rock solid. Keep in mind that it needs to be against an object/wall to use. It will not work if you need to change a lightbulb in the middle of a room, but that's not what it is meant for.

Good quality telescoping ladder with safety feature
I am updating my earlier review (below) and increasing the rating from 2 to 4 stars.I contacted the distributor and they ultimately sent me a replacement ladder. It performed the same way as the 1st one; when retracting the rungs above did not always stop 4" above the rung I released. Then the distributor clarified how that safety feature was supposed to work and included a short video demonstrating the proper way to close the ladder to take full advantage of the safety feature. It works as it should and, if you're careful, you will not pinch yourself when retracting the ladder. The ladder is very stable and light and I would buy it again and recommend it to others.Earlier review: The ladder is what I'd expect for a type 2 ladder, pretty sturdy and not too flimsy. It is very light and easy to maneuver. However, the alleged "safety feature" that is supposed to prevent pinching does not work consistently on the ladder I received. The top 4 sections slam down on each section below it and do not leave the gap it is supposed to leave until the section below is unlocked. Another section further down also did not leave the gap it was supposed to leave and as a result I got a very nice blood blister in the web between my thumb and forefinger.I called the customer service number and was sent to voice mail. Perhaps they will call me back.

Far easier than a traditional extension ladder but doesn't feel quite as solid.
Bought this to access gutters at the first floor level of my two story house, as my two-story extension ladder is a pain to get out and maneuver around. Read a mix of reviews on this but for my use case it's been ideal. Raises and lowers easily and in seconds. Yes, you need to keep your fingers out of the way but that's not very difficult to do. The only negative I've experienced is that it does start to feel a little wobbly as you go up and the rungs are narrower than my larger ext ladder. However it's never been a problem, just something to get used to.
