Reliable and easy to use
Having fought over the last few days to connect another brand of 2 piece RJ45s to some F/FTP Cat 6a, these were a breath of fresh air. I bought them as the other brand were so fiddly, and I'm glad I did as these are really easy and reliable. The cable guides and push-through just work without needed to fiddle the cables multiple times every time. The VCElink crimp also works perfectly with them, and has no problem cutting through solid core cable ends. Only wish I'd bought these ones a few days earlier!

Easy to fit
Great product. I spent ages with an alternative equivalent and eventually have up and decided to try these. I wired up both ends first time with these. Much better.

For cat6a and higher cable. It was fiddly to start but then once I worked it out it was easy to fit.
If you have cat6A or higher you need these connectors to get the bigger wires into the ends and through the rj45 bit..Instructions dont offer the colour series which is a fail for the product (as we are not all pros) but I found the wiring order online and proceeded to fiddle to get the wires into the first plastic shoe. It was a nightmare to do all at once so I fiddled for a while then worked out doing the bottom line all together first and then the top line one by one makes it very easy to do. Once the shoe was on its simple to cut the ends flush then slots the shoe into the main body of the unit and then crimp down and done. The product is sturdy and I feel confident it will last. I never ruined any connectors in my first attempts into working it all out which was a positive and proved that the design is set up well for the beginner like me to work out the best way to put the wires into the final product without running the product in the process. For the price these are a good choice and a minimum requirement if you are using the fatter cat6A cables. You will also need a set of crimpers My old cat 5 crimpers fit these plugs perfectly which was a big saving as some other cat6a style connectors need specific crimpers which can be a big added expense if you already have a set for the older cables.

Well Made - And Fit
I actually bought these for my son in order to find out why his Cat6 cable wasn't able to be terminated. He has his own electrical installation business and puts in a fair bit of ethernet cable and recently purchased some high quality Cat6 shielded for a job. When the cable rocked up it seemed more Cat6A than Cat6 although the markings didn't necessarily make that clear. Anyway, I said I'd make some stuff up as he was busy and as such I quickly realised my usual go to Cat 6 plugs didn't match and thus the cable he bought was indeed Cat6A or Cat7. Mind you there is no actual industry standard for Cat7 so whenever you see that stated it's anyone's guess what you get.Anyway, these plugs worked a treat. The took the larger cross sectional area cable easily so no problems there. The style isn't my personal favourite as these come with a small insert which, you slide the strands into first before inserting into the plug. I prefer the straight push in and hope type...The strands will protrude out so it does make checking the cable positions easier and whilst I may not prefer this type, they work well and I do know folks who prefer this style. They come with an earthing tang which, makes bonding the earthing sheath easy - a big plus.Overall, high quality plugs.

Not good enough
When crimping, the pins don't make a reliable connection with the wires, often pushing the wire to one side and bypassing it entirely. The guide/boot is no use.I've wasted six of these already, under the belief that it was user error, but have now decided to cut my losses. A visually identical alternative from a different supplier resulted in 12 good connections out of 12.

Excellent plugs
I wish I had discovered pass-through connectors before - it takes a lot of the pain out of wiring plugs.

Low quality
I've connected 4 of these connectors to 2 different ethernet cables (of a good quality and solid core) and all 4 connectors had problems. After running both cables through my network cable tester I've found issue with various pins in all 4 connectors. I believe there is an excessive amount of space surrounding the pins to be crimped into the wires which is leading to the pins moving around and not connecting with the wires properly.I've also found the metal shield very flimsy and weak and was taking damage and bending very easily through just normal usage.I won't personally be buying this connector again, overall I found it low quality.

Works well if you use the load bar
I was a bit wary about these after reading the reviews as they were mixed. First couple didn’t work and really fiddly. But then watched an online video that showed you use the load bar, snip the surplus leads and then insert into the connector itself and hey presto. Everyone has worked 100% since that in Cat7 cable. Also not particularly fiddle either. Get yourself a really good small set of side cutters too though. Bought a lot more packets since - 5 stars.
