VoltarenTopical 1% Arthritis Gel, 3.52 Ounce

I cannot believe my results from this anti inflammatory gel. Two days of applying the proper dosing, my wrist pain is 80% better. Wow! I am impressed! Thanks to my doctor for recommending this over the counter product.

Works great for burning pain.

This stuff really works! The directions are a little confusing, and somewhat alarming, but don’t hesitate to use it. I can’t take (oral) INSAIDS, so I asked my doctor about using it topically. He told me it was not a problem-in fact he told me to use Voltaren 4x/day on my shoulder for two weeks. Instead of using that strange little ruler enclosed inside the box, he showed me how to use it-a 1” line on my finger, then rub it into my problem shoulder. And after 2 weeks it had helped the pain/inflammation in my shoulder enough that I could cut back to once a day (nighttime for me). I rarely need to use it at all now, but keep it at the ready just in case.

I've been very impressed by how effective this product is but I knocked off a star because it does have a terrible smell. Fortunately, the bad smell dissipates quickly so it's not a deal-breaker.

This was recommended to me by a Certified Nursing Assistant who regularly works with old folks. Now that I am one, it is coming in handy. Don’t wait until your problem joint starts to hurt, apply it ahead of time. The trick I’ve learned is to apply a little right after I get out of the shower. By the time evening and night come, everything is under control. I don’t seem to need as much that way, either. Beats the pants off of IcyHot.

Not for back pain as it was prescribed by a doctor. The product states it is to be used for joint pain.Additionally, please be aware it also contains NSAID
