Pretty easy to assemble!
I received my Marcy bench today and laid everything out and put it together by myself. I’m a 64 yr. old woman. Took about an hour after I tightened all the bolts. Pretty sturdy and for the price, great buy! Looking forward to being able to work out in my small apartment while watching tv. I want to thank a guy named Anthony who’s review I read. He said don’t tighten bolts til it’s completely put together. Great tip! Thanks man ☺️we’ll see how it holds up, but I’m excited to have this bench. Can’t wait to see my muscles👍Ok so I’m adding a caveat to the above review. I really like the bench for myself, but honestly I won’t recommend it for a bigger person. It’s kind of narrow and a little too lightweight. A wider person would probably not be comfortable. I’m 5’4 and about 186 lbs and it’s ok for me. It’s small which is what I needed for the limited space I have. I do like to watch tv and do my exercises..super easy. All in all just be forewarned that it might be better to look for a sturdier piece of equipment👍Have a great day😊

Not so good for doing situps
I'm 5'5" 155lbs. I wanted to shed about 20 lbs so I bought this bench to do situps. Unfortunately the seat is small and there's a large gap between the seat and backboard; my tail bone hits the bolts in the gap so I can't use the bench as intended. The bench is otherwise sturdy but I'm not getting what I needed since I can't use it without a significant modification. Doesn't appear to be returnable? I bought this in April and it's now beginning Dec.

Easy assembly, solid build
Was a simple set up, and the construction and assembly feels strong and secure. I mainly got this to do inclined abdominal exercises, but it's adjustable back also helps with other free lifting exercises too.I can quickly do my abdominal exercise and slam back down into this and it doesn't rock or wobble or shake, unlike my last one that constantly would wobble or shake and make me think it was gonna snap apart during use. Very glad this one is so much more solid.

You get what you pay for
Like many people who were panicked about staying active during the pandemic, I immediately started beefing up my home gym equipment. The price was attractive so I went ahead and ordered. Assembling the bench was pretty easy - it took me maybe 20 minutes but I wasn't in a rush. The instructions were pretty clear, and the small pieces were securely stored, wasn't missing anything.Even though everything is assembled correctly and secured tightly, the back support does wobble while you're using it. This is pretty disconcerting at first, and almost made me lose balance. The back support piece isn't particularly wide, so as expected my shoulders are over the edges pretty significantly even though I'm not that broad. The padding is pretty comfortable, but the seat can also be weird. The seat remains angled slightly up, since only the back support is adjustable. This can make it challenging to get in position for reclined moves, especially since the back pad wobbles. This can also sometimes be pretty uncomfortable to my lower back when I'm trying to lay back.If I were to shop again, I would probably shell out the extra money on something with a sturdier design. If you aren't using this for weight lifting, then it might be a better fit for you.

Great starter bench for anybody
This bench is just great! It took a few different socket sizes to put together and in some places demanded an anchor wrench in addition to the socket, but all the bench parts were included in a super-secure cardboard backed plastic shrink bubble. The instructions were very clear with excellent parts assembly diagrams. It's sturdy enough that I feel confident sitting my 350 lb self on it, it's stable both on carpet and linoleum, and it inclines to 45 degrees up, 90 degrees flat, or 45 degrees down. The locking arm for inclining the bench looks a bit iffy at first glance, but it is sturdy and once weight is applied to it there is zero rattle or shift at the locking pin. The padded rollers make it really comfortable to lock legs and feet in place for sit-ups.I've only been using this bench for a few weeks. I started out doing a few half sit ups at a time from the 45-degree up position, got up to 50 reps very quickly, and now I'm doing multiple sets 10 to 15 reps at the 90-degree flat angle. I haven't lost any weight at all, but my posture, confidence, and both physical and mental energy are through the roof! This bench makes tedious and difficult to get started with exercises simple, fast, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Worst quality product I have ever purchased
I would give it 0/5 if I could. The bench is impossible to assemble due to its poor quality. As shown in the picture it is impossible to put in the screws as the two parts are defected and not able to match. I have followed the instruction step by step but the poor quality makes it very frustrating to build. I would never trust its quality and if you value your health you should never purchase this product.
