Stays put!!!
I stopped using my Garmin when I purchased a new car in 2020 that had a built-in navigation system (no Apple Car-Play). Since owners must pay for vehicle map updates (I refused), I dusted off my Garmin, updated the maps, and have enjoyed comparing the two navigation systems. I'd purchased a dash mount soon after buying the Garmin as the suction mount didn't affixed to the windshield, but with temperature changes, it didn't stay affixed to the dash mount, AND the mount often slid with cornering and braking. This item works WONDERFULLY!! I no longer need to fuss with suction adherence, and the design, weight, and bottom surface work wonderfully to prevent it from sliding. Highly recommend!!

So Far, So Good
I attached it to my new Garmin and put it on the dashboard of my car. Seem stable so far but it will need to ride there for a few miles to get a real feel for how well it performs. This is similar to a "beanbag" type mount that I have used for many years for an older Garmin. No problems with that old one and this one seems to be an improved design with a larger dash "footprint" so I expect it will serve me well. Won't really know until it has been in place for a few thousand miles.

Sturdy, stable mount for a Garmin DriveSmart 76
This has been working very well for my Garmin DriveSmart 76. The large size of the GPS made it rather unstable using the manufacturer-provided suction cup mount. Plus, as with any suction mount, it tended to pop off in ultra cold weather. This mount, in contrast, provides far more stability. Plus, since the GPS mounts right onto the mounting ball on the arm, it allows for better and easier adjustment to avoid sun glare on the screen.A must-have if you have a Garmin GPS - five stars.

Very nice mounting to Garmin GPS
The suction windshield mount that came with Garmin GPS would come off the windshield with temperature changes. With an older GPS I had I purchased a claim shell style holder that sat on the dash. It was heavy and was rock solid during hard acceleration and braking. But I did not like how the claim shell bent the power cable and connector. I really like the way this mounts to the Garmin GPS but it's too light Weight to stay in place. During hard acceleration or braking it comes flying off the dashboard. So I used Gorilla removable mounting putty to attach it to the dashboard. Because it's a low tack adhesive it's easily removable but solidlylocks this mount to the dashboard. Now no matter how hard I accelerate or brake there is no movement. Despite how nice the GPS mounts I could only give this a 3 or 4 star rating because it would not stay in place. But combined with the Gorilla putty I would give this 6 stars if that was an option.

Excellent Alternative to Suction Mounts
I've had years of frustration with suction mounted GPS units, vehicle ODBII monitors, phone mounts, etc. The basic issue is that no matter how well you prep the surface, they always eventually fall off, usually while negotiating a curve, scaring the hell out of you. This mount is brilliant. I stays put, uses gravity to an advantage (not disadvantage) and fits everything I use. It will sit up a bit on the dashboard, but not terribly. Its hefty with a nice soft rubbery material on the bottom. And the heat of summer does nothing to either it, or the hold it has on the unit affixed. Frankly I like it because I do NOT leave units in the sun. This allows me to easily slip the whole thing off and under the seat when I leave the car. I put it back when I return, no fiddling. I've found the ball mount to be basically universal for everything I have. There is another more expensive Garmin mount like this, with a flat pad and a lower profile. I have it as well, but this cheaper one is better I think. The pads "wrap" around the shape of your dashboard much better.

Does NOT Fit The Garmin Dezl OTR810 Unless It’s Modded
I needed a saddle bag for my Garmin trucking GPS so I decided to try this brand. The iSaddle ball mount is way too small for the OTR 810 (note photos) so I decided to mod it to fit the factory mount that came with my OTR 810. I removed the four screws from the bottom of the base, and removed the iSaddle mount from the bag. I placed the OTR 810 mount onto the saddle bag then used the self tapping screws that came with the OTR 810 to screw through the metal plate at the bottom of the saddle bag. I removed those screws, and replaced them with shorter ones that had the same width, because the Garmin self tapping screws were protruding through the base that would cause damage to the dashboard. The rear screw had to be cut down a little with a Dremel, because that screw was protruding too. After everything was completed the factory Garmin OTR mount is now rock solid on the iSaddle bag, and will not move. On a side note do not over tighten the screws when doing this mod, because you can easily strip out the bottom plate, and it’s the most important piece for doing this mod to hold down the OTR mount.

GPS is on the dash and easy to see
I had one of these for my 1st Garmin GPS and it worked great. I bought a second GPS for the other vehicle and I needed another mount for it. I bought a Garmin labeled unit and it was defective, returned it and bought a 2nd Garmin unit, it also was defective, so it was returned. I then looked for one like the first mount I bought and found it. It works correctly and easy to use and hods my GPS unit secure on the dash. No suction to the window. I would recommend this unit as it will turn right or left and has a ratchet to hold it in place where you turn it to. The ball mount to the GPS will allow the vertical adjustment desired.
