Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $20 on something you're going to use daily.
A big upgrade over the no-name thermos I got from Home Depot around 5 years ago. The rubber knurling on the cap was glued on, broke free, and neither super glue nor Loctite could keep it back together. The flimsy plastic carry handle snapped in half and poked me every time I picked up the thermos. The threads and cap were always a pain to clean, and I was never able to confidently clean all of the nooks and crannies. This model solves all the gripes I had with my old thermos. The unique thread pattern is much easier to access and clean compared to traditional threads, and are surprisingly smooth to operate. You can open and close the cap most of the way just by spinning it like a spinning top. The extra insulation on the cap reduces plastic contact and keeps drinks cold/hot for significantly longer. The carrying handle feels sturdy, and is one of the few brands I've seen spend the extra few dollars on production costs to provide a METAL carrying handle, even at this $40 to $60 price range. It doesn't come with a lid you can drink through, but with how easy it is to twist off, it's not a problem. The brand offers multiple different lids with straws/spouts if you want to get one later down the line, which I can appreciate even if I do not currently plan to purchase any of these. It's wild to think that with most other brands, you have to purchase an entirely new thermos just to get a different lid. The thermos itself has a really nice curved lip that makes drinking straight from the bottle very comfortable, and I don't have to fight the bottle to keep it from dripping out the sides as I drink.I really wanted a simple, robust, easy to clean thermos with no lead and minimal plastic - this fits all the bills. Insulated containers really are a case of "you get what you pay for". Spending the extra $20-$30 on these nicer brands really are worth it if you're going to be drinking your water out of it every day. Only downside is that Klean Kanteens are made in China, but it's hard to find anything that isn't these days. Regardless, I can easily see myself using this thermos daily for the next 10+ years. One month update: Still love this thermos. I found out later that Klean Kanteen doesn't use any lead in their insulation solder. I'm surprised it's not a boasted selling point after it became fairly common knowledge that most thermoses use lead solder that can leech into the contents if you break the seal from a bad drop. It's nice to have the peace of mind that I'm not going to get lead poisoning from the fairly expensive thermos that I love so dearly. I got the "Kemi-Moto water bottle holder/carrier", the fabric and the handle make a larger sized thermos like this much easier to pick up. It also has a sling and a bit of extra insulation. I just use this thermos for water, and I consistently finish my drink before it warms to room temperature. It's freakish how long drinks stay cool in this thermos. It also still feels as rock solid and premium as it was new. I clean it every couple weeks with a vinegar rinse and a dilute vinegar + baking soda soak for 6-8 hours. The threads are easy to wipe down with a paper towel and don't require any special brushes. One of the best purchases I've ever made. That said, while the thermos is very comfortable to drink from 90% of the time, I've found the 10% of the time I take a drink while laying down, it's much easier to spill a bit out the sides. I'll take a few drops of water on my shirt over a harder to clean cap though.

Unbelievably good at holding cold temperature
I bought two of these to use on my bicycle while riding it the Texas inferno summers. They work incredibly well. I can put ice in one and it will stay frozen for several days.

Decent but could be better
Not bad, but not great. It insulates pretty well but the lid can get screwed on pretty tight at times. It also has a tendency to get stinky pretty quick, even when using it with only water. It's pretty overpriced for what you get but it holds a lot of water. It can be a little cumbersome at times. I pretty much only use it for around the house or if I'm traveling far away (plane, roadtrip, etc). I can't imagine taking this out on a day trip shopping or something, it's just way too big.

Love it!
Love it. Exactly what I wanted. I have another Klean Kanteen, 40 oz. that I bought years ago. It's all dinged up, but it still works. I'm sure if I drop this one, it will dent too. It holds a lot of water. It keeps the water cool. No complaints.

Large and in charge but just what I need!
I absolutely love Klean kanteen! While my friends have gone through a few hydroflasks over the years I have been going steady with my original green 64 oz uninsulated canteen for 9 years!! I literally take it everywhere until recently when I started getting slightly embarrassed to take it out during work because of how beat up it is (I’ll retire it to hikes and camping only) I finally decided I deserve an upgrade and Klean kanteen deserves my business once again! I wanted to stay with a 64 oz and this time for the insulated version. I knew it would be much bigger than my original but I was pleasantly surprised that it actually wasn’t! Not bad if you ask me. I also decided to just get the all stainless steel version so that the scrapes and dents over the next 9 years won’t be so noticeable ;)

Super high build quality
I've been a fan of Klean Kanteen for a while and I've had small gripes and criticisms with their other water bottles. But this bottle is different. The build quality is so satisfyingly good that I literally ENJOY using this water bottle. Maybe I get a little too much pleasure from this bottle.I heavily recommend buying the secondary bottle cap as it will change your experience with this bottle entirely. The rubber nozzle is robust and the cap that comes attached to it screws in perfectly every time. There are no small nooks and crannies that can collect bacteria and it makes the bottle incredibly easy to keep clean. Also, just a small note, if you are like me and don't enjoy using heavily branded objects the bottle literally has no brand

A 30 ounce jug
Nice thermos, but it does not weigh 8.1 ounces. It is close to 30 ounces
