Very simple and easy to assemble. It is great for beginners that want to try assembling wooden models. The crank power generator works fine but the solar panel doesn’t generate power.

Item exactly as described and is fun to put together and paint. Not at all difficult to assemble and is alot of fun. I highly recommend.

For a "generic" item this inexpensive, I'm usually pretty dubious about it, but this is one instance that really surprised me in a positive way.-The 2 electric motors really work well. When you provide the solar motor full sunshine, the windmill spins rapidly and impressively. It won't work with indoor lighting so don't expect that. The hand crank motor is able to send power to spin the red fan and it works reliably. It's pretty cool to see the blades spin without any physical gears linking the motor to the blades.-The building kit is pretty good as well. The little pieces can be difficult to pop out for kids. My child broke a couple of the small circular pieces but everything still worked fine without them.So all in all, you get a small building kit and a couple of neat motors that provide an almost magical power to the blades. Pretty good deal for 13 dollars.

Cool gift for 7 year old. Will need adult assistance. Solar cell works, but requires strong direct sunlight.
