I obtained this as much from, in fact chiefly from, curiosity having done my dues some years ago so I look at this from a slightly different perspective to the out and out student. This is a well organised and a well-written volume, by its nature something to dip into to inform and reinforce, but above all, it is accessible and usable, not just for the student but also for the continuous development of the more seasoned practitioner. As such it meets its stated aims.It is up to date with the UK RQF and is up to date, at least as far as developments within the profession, as far as September 2017, and it is solid on examples and broad in its coverage. I would recommend it as a working text for all practitioners in the Further Education and skills sector, and not just in the UK.
