I ordered these to put music notes on them for my music classroom. I created a game similar to Flash or Yahtzee. It was a lot of work filling out 30 dice by hand. My students enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the Sharpie markers I used wore off with sweaty middle school hands, so I had to rewrite some of the notes. Still, a worthwhile investment.

These worked out really well. My husband needed the dice to create a game. He used sharpie on them as other reviews said that it worked great. We thought sharpie worked great also until a friend of ours held one in his hand and rubbed at it for a while. It then smeared a little bit. I can't image that most people would just sit there and rub the die but I wanted to state what we experienced. To solve this we just hit it with a clear coat spray and this seemed to solve the problem. The dice took the sharpie quite well and they looked great!

I was looking for blank dice to use in my classroom. These are perfect and can be used for a variety of activities! They are regular sized dice found in board games. I used a sharpie on one to test them out and seems they will hold up well with regular use. I rolled it and rubbed it lightly and no smears. I rubbed one side of the die hard and yes the sharpie began to lighten up a little. However, I don't intend on having the kids rub it and should it start to show any wear, I will simply touch up with a sharpie again. They are ok if you are just drawing on them. If you plan to engrave them i would recommend finding different dice. Every single one has one side that it dipped down, the picture indicates the worst of the ones i received. Also, the engraving image isn't as sharp as some other dice ive tested on. These dice give more of a melted soft edge look rather then a sharp edge on items. I the one image of the descent into gaming is from a difference dice and you can see the engraved image came out much clearer then with these.All in all not good for engraving but fine if your just drawing on them.

I got Betrayal at Baldurs Gate for Christmas and needed more than one set of dice so I bought these and used acrylic paint to dot the dice with the required numbers on the right sides. They work well.

These corners are rounded a bit more than normal dice which creates excessive rock before the dice finally settle. Not a huge deal, but if you're paying a premium for components, these are a little unusually when held up to other dice. Still accomplish their purpose.

These are great! I used fine-point sharpies to draw shapes on them to use a story-starter dice in my classroom. The sharpie bled into a few non-visible cracks in the finish creating a spiderweb look, but they were small and a few extra dice were even thrown into my bag, so I had a few extra to test with. I paid $10.99 but I wish I would've waited because now they're selling for $7.00. Still worth it, in my opinion.

Bought these to make a game for gift for Christmas. I created letter dice with vinyl and they worked well. A few of the dice had some defects, but overall, very nice and the price is right!
