We use this in our condo apartment with a different unit in our bedroom. The Levoit works extremely well, keeping the apartment at a comfortable humidity level. My goal was to keep the apartment in the 40% range. We only use it in the auto mode, and I initially set the unit to 45%, but its humidity monitor reads lower than our stand-alone temp/humidity monitors. It would run constantly even though the other monitors were reading 45%. So I decided to decrease the target humidity, but you can only go in 5% increments using the on-device controls, and 40% was a bit too low. So I did install the Vesync app, which allows you to set any level you want. Our sweet spot is 43%. The app is easy to use and connects immediately to the unit, although I still think it’s ridiculous to have a “smart” humidifier, but to gradually adjust your humidity level in less than 5% increments, you will need the app.Cleaning is much easier than with past humidifiers I’ve had. I use one of those little fish-shaped floating cleaner things that many use in their aquariums, as well as humidifiers. They do a very good job, and so far, my routine is to rinse the unit out weekly and wipe all surfaces with a water and vinegar solution; we’ve had no mold or fungal growth. The unit we use in our bedroom is a Dreo, which also works very well, and it’s also set to 43%, which is our sweet spot. The Levoit is the quieter of the two and would not disturb anyone even if it’s at your bedside. This is a very well-made and good-looking device which I highly recommend.

We just finished our 3rd year of using this and it is by far the best humidifier we have ever purchased. In fact, we purchased another one that same year for our sons room and then last year a smaller Levoit for our daughters room (much smaller space). Please note that due to heavy minerals in our well water we have always used these using only distilled water. This year we changed to using RO water because we had a unit installed in our home last year and now we don’t have to purchase Distilled water. In my experience all humidifiers will output white dust unless we use mineral free water. Both the distilled and our now home installed drinking water system makes this unit run flawlessly with very little need for cleaning during the winter months.We love the WiFi capacity with these units as it is convenient for our family. We set each unit up with programs to come on 2 hrs before bedtime and stop running 30 minutes before typical wake up times. We can set the desired humidity levels and forget about it.I mentioned that with using distilled or RO water these stay super clean thought out the winter but the great thing is that when you do need to clean these, it is very easy compared to all other units we have ever had (and we’ve had many with varying brands). Just about everything comes off for ease of cleaning.We do not use the little port for essential oils so I cannot comment on that aspect of the units.So far these seem like they will be holding up much better than other brands so although they are a bit more $ I feel like we are getting a good value based on what durability is thus far.

Does a good job of controlling the humidity in my dry bedroom (in winter). Easy to understand instructions and easy to clean. On the quiet side when steam is emitted.

We bought this device in Sep-23, a little over a year ago. It is life-changingly good because it is so hands-off:1) You only have to refill it every few days (vs. daily for most standard humidifiers)2) All the parts are easily accessible, so cleaning it, including the tank, is a breeze3) The ability to set a target humidity and just let it automatically adjust its own output to hit that target is great4) Using the VeSync app to control them is fairly intuitive, it’s not perfect, but works fineThat said, I’m only giving it 4 stars because, after having such an experience with this device in my bedroom, I bought 2 more, one for each of my kids’ rooms too.This worked great for the winter. In the summer I emptied the tanks and stopped using the devices over the summer (it’s naturally humid in NY in the summer). When I plugged them back in the following winter (Nov-24), 2 of them didn’t work! They gave indecipherable light patterns to indicate that something was wrong, and would not connect to my WiFi or the VeSync app.This could have been a 2-star experience, but Levoit’s customer support was quick to step in and offer to replace both of the broken models under their 2-year warranty.In-all, this is a great product, but I would buy it with the expectation that you might only get 2 years of use out of it. If you’re comfortable spending this much for that much longevity, you will LOVE IT!

Works great and is so much quieter than any other humidifer we've used. The app is easy to use as well but it's just as easy to just control everything from the humidier itself.

obsessed with humidity in our house. i get it down to 58 (in arkansas)! lots of steam, you know it is working. good amount of water level but running at high I go through the container each day. i can tell a big change in breathing. compare 60 to 90. that is huge. durable device. it is smart and i can control from another state if i want. i am actually buying the bigger one that holds a ton of water for entire house soon.

Review: I've been using the Levoit Sprout humidifier for a while now, and everything works flawlessly. It's quiet, easy to use, and the tank is simple to refill.
