Good low cost voice control
For a cheap smart extension lead that's Alexa compatible it does the trick, only thing that would make it slightly better would be smart control over the usb sockets, but it is clear in the description that it doesn't have this.Bought this solely because my plugs socket for my microwave and air fryer are in a very inaccessible spot so having voice control is handy toEach of the three sockets can be controlled independently on/off or on their own timers or the strip as a whole (three plugs and the usb) either on/off or on timer.Connected to my little elf app instantly (would presume tuya /smart life app compatible too) and no issues with Alexa also immediately updating to include itOnly thing I found out by trial and error (and at first I was blaming the plug but it seems to be an Alexa quirk actually) is that I can't call the socket "microwave" or "air fryer" and Alexa goes on a spiel about how I need a compatible appliance, but as soon as I renamed it in the Alexa app to "microwave /air fryer Plug" voice control is fine with it.... so seems like you have to add another word to make it work with a specifically named appliance - but like I said that seems to be a fault with Alexa and not the extension itself, but would be easy to think otherwise.

Lasts less than 15 months. Beware
Unfortunately exactly same experience as the others who have commented here. I had two and they lasted 14 months before the WiFi functionality conked off and now I'm left with two useless bits of electric equipment as no option to use it manually.Very, very disappointing.

Good device
While the smart power strip is a very good idea, there are some devices that do not like being connected to and being regulated by them. I connected my TV and the sound bar to one and the sound bar did not like it at all. Kept losing the connection to the TV, so I removed the scheduled on/offs for it and it has been fine since. My electrically reclining chair failed seemingly as a result of being connected to a smart power strip. Coincidence, possibly, but a pain in the butt nevertheless. While I think smart power strips/outlets are a great idea, and that “vampire” devices need to be properly controlled for economy, I am still uncertain as to whether all devices can be connected to them safely and effectively. On my current examples, some devices definitely do not like having their power completely removed from them, and continually powered on and off! They’re good power strips, but if they can possibly damage equipment by doing what they do, then they’re worthless and no better than an ordinary power strip as they’re smart capabilities are rendered useless!Update 21/10/2023After consideration and continued use of the power strips, I have to say that once everything settled down into a normal routine they are solid and do their job well. I truly believe that they are saving me money by controlling my equipment and cutting out the unnecessary powering of my various electrical items. One codicil I add, is that to make sure that equipment of any sort is safely and effectively turned on or off, make sure that they are turned off when the event occurs.

Works as expected but..
Advice really. We have about ten like this working in SmartLife but a different one to this started doing strange things in Alexa saying it was on and it wasn’t. Bought this one to resolve the problem one. Same thing happened, so by elimination the problem was SmartLife talking to Alexa. Seems there is some kind of technical problem when getting to a high number of devices. Solution was to setup and connect using Tuya to Alexa and use that to control. Worked no problem, so we connected what was the problem extension to Tuya too and worked so bonus have two fully working extensions and will leave SmartLife at what looks like it’s limit and connect new devices through Tuya. If you don’t know SmarLife and Tuya and pretty much identical and for basic functions work exactly the same. This extension is well made, one thing to note is with this one the USB ports are always powered on, my other ones are smart switched on and off. Not a problem for me as I have usb powered devices connected that need to be left on. Same as just about all smart devices, remember to connect to 2.4Ghz network so switch of 5Ghz temporarily if you have a single combined Wi-Fi network.

Lasted a year
I have brought two of these over the last two years. The first lasted 1 year, before it died and would not work, the second one lasted a 1 year and a half. Not built to last I'm afraid.

Pay attention to the 1 star reviews
Just as others have stated, it broke after 17 months. I'll just have to write it off and stick to Meross, never have any problems with them.
