It is an erudite book- excellent for historical research. If you are looking for a biographical account of the life and times of 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib, this may not be the book fulfill such an expectations. I find this book more as a "primary source" material. I highly recommend it for those who wish to study more deeply some particular aspects of Ali's life, thoughts, methods, etc.

The best book on Ali bin Abi talib r.a. Anyone that would think it is not accurate needs to open up the books of seerah and read again. Anyone that could say this book is garbage is infact an enemy of Ali r.a.

The book is highly accurate and provides enough information refuting lies against Caliph 'Ali. Its an highly recommended book for any serious truth-seeker and a student of history.The best way to answer the critics here (who out of sectarian-schism and religious intolerance are maligning an highly reputable academic and his widely renowned work) is to read the book itself, you'll find how factual and accurate the book is!

Don't buy this book- reseach about the author, (After living for a time in Yemen, in 1999 Sallabi moved to Qatar where he studied under Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the spiritual head of the international Muslim Brotherhood who lives in Doha, the Qatari capital. This author has false information if he studied under qaradawi
