They are not joking when they say to size up. I feel like these run pretty small due to no stretch. BUT! Once you find your size, omg these are so cute! I’m 5’3/175 and usually wear a M/L or a size 30 but had to size up to a 32 to find a perfect fit.I can already tell they are going to be my go-to summer shorts. Material thickness:Super thick jean material. Feels sturdy and also provides a bit of compression on my lower belly which I love! Pocket size:Pocket size is super practical. Plenty of room for your phone and doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall out Look:I love the vintage Jean distressed look. These are just the perfect jeans shorts.

The fit is phenomenal; for those who are saying size up, I disagree! Measure yourself with a tape measure after a full meal and understand that this is denim and it has no stretch. You may be accustomed to "false denim" with a high elastane content. Levi denim does not sacrifice quality or durability so expect very little in the way of stretch, an accurate measurement of your waist (much like the male denim industry), and size appropriately.After a full meal, my typical 28in waist measures between 30-31in. So I ordered a 29 to feel comfortable in a non-stretch denim. These are SO comfortable! As another review mentioned, they ride up a bit in the arse, but I find that cute and my reason for returning to Levis time and time again. It's not uncomfortable and the material is much thicker than Madewell for 1/4 of the price. Despite the distressed hemline, I expect these shorts to last a long while as Levis of the past have been quite durable and lasted many years.Don't skip on these if you catch the sale. But sale or no, these shorts are heckin' cute!!

Very cute pair of jean shorts. They do loosen throughout the day but not much. They’re true to size, comfortable and so cute! Perfect for summer. No color bleeding on initial wash. They don’t leave dye on your skin like dark wash jeans tend to do. There’s no heavy chemical smells. Just the perfect summer jeans

Super cute jean shorts, I think they fit pretty well but they seem just a little short for me ! They’re pretty comfy and seem like they’ll last long me a long time if taken care of. 10/10 :)

these are so cute and a great price! i recommend sizing up 1-2 in levi’s usually. i am normally a size large (10/12) (5’6, 180 lbs) and sized up to a 33 for a more comfortable, relaxed fit. i got the color jazz solo and they are not rigid, but still fit just perfect and are even comfortable while sitting down. probably my favorite pair of levi shorts i have owned!

Ugh, ordered a 27, instead of 26 because reviews said to size up. Wish i didn’t. Go with your measurements, and their size guide. Fit would have been fine with my actual size. also, these aren’t zip, they’re all button which i didn’t know. Hate that. And not as cute in person. Might return, especially because i’m in the middle of losing weight, these will fall off by the end of next month. am not pulling very hard at all to show the gaps. i’m 5’4 140 lbs, 36.5 hip 28 waist. I wear small pants medium/ l tops. i have one pair of shorts right now from another brand that are 26’s and they fit. Go with the product size guide !!! I just think people don’t know their measurements due to various brands.I do want to note, if you’re okay with baggier fit, maybe 1 size up but i like my stuff fitted.

So I have been searching for a pair of shorts for the longest time that don’t absolutely destroy my confidence. I bought the Levi's Women's 501 Original Shorts in New (blow big horns) and all I can say is JUST GET THEM!!! This is the first review that I have ever left, and I cannot believe how perfect these fit. They are soft, stretchy, when I sit down my thighs aren’t uncomfortable. The shorts are flexible, flattering from all angles.For sizing reference, I am 5’8, 150lbs and my waist is 29. I ordered size 30 for these shorts. I could have even sized down, but they are a comfortable fit. There definitely is a little bit of extra space in the back, my build is a smaller waist, but i carry majority of my weight in my thighs and hips. As someone who is 5’8 with semi athletic/ semi curvy build, my butt is not sticking out, my thighs have room to breathe, they are the perfect length. It’s cute and tall approved.

Love these shorts. So cute! The fit is great. I did size up to a 30 when I am usually between a 28/29 and they fit well. They are a little loose, but the 29 was too tight on these. I am a mom and have been trying to find some shorts that fit and still make me feel cute and these are it!
