Be prepared on your camping holiday with the Fibreglass Pole Set from Vango. Fibreglass poles are not covered by manufacturers warranty and therefore spare poles should be taken on your camping trip to avoid cutting your holiday short. Keep your tent in the best condition possible by replacing old, tired poles with the Vango Fibreglass Pole Set.

Great replacement! Need a saw though.
Great replacement from Vango - I did need to use a junior hacksaw to cut to size. However it was simple to measure against the other poles. You have to use the bit of wire to feed the elastic back through and not sure how the replacement elastic works but I guess it would have been easy to figure out!

Not compatible with Vango Orion tent.
Rather than just selling replacement poles for different models of tent, you have to buy these things and saw them down to size. But since Vango doesn't just have a list of the tents that are compatible I will chime in and say they are too thick to be used with the Vango Orion. The ends of the poles are not compatible with the linking mechanism of the Orion either. The poles themselves seem very strong, but covered in some kind of sticky dust. I would send them back if I could be bothered.

Great substitute, not perfect match.
The poles worked great cut down to fit as instructed. Although not a perfect match to original vango poles ours may be older version.

Great Quality
My tent suffered some pole damage during the early summer and I needed to replace three split poles. This set from Vango were perfect for what I needed. A couple of hints: I needed to shorten my poles by a few centimetres. To make sure I cut them exactly, I used a plumber's pipe cutter to fix the precise cut mark. I found that the groove in the jaws of my B&D Workmate bench was ideal for holding the pole rigid whilst sawing. I used a new hacksaw blade to get a perfect cut. I was able to sand off and bevel the newly cut edges with a fine emery paper. The kit comes with a long threading wire and a length of bungy string - spot on.

Good replacement poles
I purchased these 11mm poles to replace some snapped ones in a EUROHIKE Buckingham Elite 8 Tent. They were fairly easy to cut to size using a fine toothed handsaw; having marked them for length I used some electrical tape around the pole where I was cutting to reduce the chance of the fibreglass strands splitting during cutting and then sanded off the cut end with fine sandpaper. They fit well and having erected the tent for a long weekend of camping they survived ok, it will be interesting to see how well they do long term, but in the short term they did a good job. Unfortunately with the tent I have, whilst four of the five sets of poles are 11mm, the middle set of poles were 12.7mm so I had to source another thicker set at a local camping store, I found another Vango set and these worked just as well.Overall, a good price and did the job.

Simple easy fix.
Actual Vango replacement poles. Perfect fit for a Vango Drumond tent once you've cut them to size with a hacksaw. Our tent had 2 different pole diameters so make sure you get the right thickness for replacement. But really easy to do and great value for money compared to getting a new tent!

Good price, fast Delivery, simple to do for my Icarus 500
Great product, very easy to replace the poles.Great price of wire to pull the elastic cord through the pols, also has a spair cord if needed. Neat little bag they come in as means you can keep any poles that are unused. Poles are easy to cut down to size with a hacksaw.I only needed 2 new poles for my vango Icarus 500 (old ones broke in strong wind) so for the money iv now got spair ones. Delivery was fast poles come in cardboard tube so nice and safe. Instructions are included, but Utube has some great tutorials on how to if you need them.
