Fractal Design Define C - Compact Mid Tower Computer Case - ATX - Optimized For High Airflow And Silent Computing with ModuVent Technology - 2x 120mm Silent Fans included - PSU Shroud - Black

I wanted a soundproofed ATX tower that was as narrow and shallow as possible, but that would still accommodate my NH-D15 cooler. I considered the Meshify C - gorgeous - but its panels were bare metal, and then I found the Define C.There is support for up to 3 x 120 or 2 x 140 fans in the front, 2 x 120/2 x 140 in the top (or AIOs of those sizes), and a rear 120. Two top panels are provided - a magnetic mesh, and a solid plastic clip-in panel. The fan support is very impressive for a case so small.The case is almost perfectly designed and is very nice to work in - cable routing is a breeze because of the "all the thick stuff at the front" intent, and there are three Velcro straps to lock everything down (allowing side panel closure without your mate having to sit on it). Thumb nuts are captive - though very tight - and there is both a removable hard drive cage at the front and a removable SSD mounting plate across the back; a removable flap above the HDD cage area can be closed off for anything other than three 120 fans. The PCI area has been relieved to allow a screwdriver full access, and there is enough room above the motherboard for reasonably easy cable insertions.A couple of tiny flies in the ointment (not enough to take a star off):- the top plastic panel is a bit tinny compared to the more substantial side- and front panels.- I would have liked to see a larger cut-out in the PSU shroud near the bottom right corner to allow for USB 3.0 headers to pass through - once the board is installed, this is impossible, and I'm not sure it would have been possible prior to installing the board; I sent my USB 3.0 through a large grommet.- the vent above the power supply exposes the (ugly) sticker on the back of most PSUs; if it had to be there (for passive power supplies, I assume), I would have preferred a removable solid plate like the one covering the HDD cage.- I paid £75 for it - a bit high, but it's now fallen below 70 (and I had a very similar case from Corsair for £55 that was nowhere near the same quality).All in all, very happy - I can have a quiet AND well-ventilated system with a much smaller footprint. The extra money goes toward the design and soundproofing - if that matters to you, it will be well spent.

A thoughtful design. There is plenty of of room to keep the cabling away from airflows. It is quiet in operation due in good part to the sound-proofing, and it keeps cool inside. There is no fan hub, and it comes with two unimpressive 120mm 3-pin case fans (replaced with one Arctic 120mm, and two Arctic 140mm, 4-pin PWM fans conncted to an Arctic PWM case fan hub, adding significantly to the cost), so it isn't such value for money as it might seem at first. Overall, I'm pleased that I bought it., although I'd have bought a 'Be Quiet! Pure Base 500 - Black' in preference, had one been available.

This case is great, it was easy to move all my parts into and forces me to manage my cables so it looks clean. It has plenty of room for storage as it has 2 3.5" and 3 2.5" bays. Very quiet and great airflow. 10/10

The first case I have bought in at least 15 years. Build went easily - glad I never went for a smaller form factor. Room to built and at the end enough airflow to keep temps down, fan speeds low and noise down. There is sound deadening foam as well but I don't know how effective that is. Just after first boot/OS install the rear fan span up really high (sometimes still does for 5 secs on complete shutdown). Despite the sound proof case that sounded LOUD. However, for 99.999% of the time now with all drivers etc installed the overall system really is (to me) silent with my Ryzen 1700 and a GTX1060 (no overclocks yet). Case looks smart. I think the tempered glass options offered by competitors would look a whole lot nicer and some of those are even cheaper. So a good case but I think overpriced for what it is. I may get a solid (non transparent) side panel in case I want to convert to a simple 'black box' one day. That's one advantage over some other brands.

Exactly what I needed, this is a well built case with great sound dampening and the fans that are included are more than adequate for most people, it was extremely easy to build in and looks really nice and sleek.If you're looking for a quiet, unassuming PC case that is easy to build in and looks great, I wouldn't recommend anything else.

Upgraded to this from an NZXT S340 and the difference was amazing, the noise insulation works really well and keeps my system whisper quiet. The case is also much easier to build in due to the rubber grommets and Velcro for cable management. The case sides swing outwards which makes it easier to shove cables back in to the case. It also feels very very high quality with solid metals/plastics and no rattles.

This is an excellent case with plenty of room for multiple drives and a full ATX MB, large graphics card etc. Power supply has its own compartment with a good selection of routes for the cables. My only criticism is that there is no front panel USB 2 sockets only USB 3.1.

It's heavier than I thought it would be but not too heavy, solidly built, blocks noise brilliantly. I had a very minor problem but the good people at Fractal Design sorted it out very quickly, cheers everyone.
