Holy moley! This sounds better than my DacMagic 200 at half the price
I was hopeful but when I first heard it my jaw dropped with amazement. I've only had it running for 2 hours and can't stop listening. Using it with the Audiolab transport. It's all there: drama, all detail, good bass, air, easy on the ears. Can't really imagine a dac sounding better than this one at any price. You can even add a different op-amp to customize the sound. I'm a 37 year audiophile and have never heard anything this good. I strongly recommend the Sparkos chip. Night and day difference. Happy listening!

Sounds good, and can sound even better.
USB DAC works natively with my Mac Mini. Sounds great with hi-rez music. Build quality is good, but the smaller LED’s aren’t very bright. Upgraded with a discrete op-amp, it sounds even better. Build quality is high. Good value.

Great sound quality with solid sound stage
Bought this to replace broken built-in sound device of my PC. There's a humming noise when connected to PC using USB. Kind of disappointed at this point. Then I switched to optical. Boy does that made a difference. The sound is clean and detailed. Sound stage is accurate with solid sense of depth.Very satisfied overall. Only regret is should have gotten the Bluetooth version.

A well reviewed item that just didn't work for me
Yeah, you can swap the op-amps to change the sound. IT is rather difficult to set the op-amps into the socket. To some extent that is because I am old and my vision is not that good.Returned because mine made a heavy thumping noise when turned on. I could reduce the volume to power on and off, but it should not be that way..Sound wise, it was fine. Practicality wise....meh!
