This is definitely one of those things that you have to rave about. It's an absolute life saver for reading music in low light conditions and easy to attach to a music stand. There's nothing flimsy about it it feels solid and well made. As far as the LED's are concerned, how long they will last before they start to grow dim (if they do) only time will tell. The lamps design and size is just right. Its a good length to spread light over several sheets of music and you can position it to any angle with the adjustable gooseneck. It has a firm base with a large clip that opens wide enough to attach to most music stands.Two levels of brighteness are controlled by a push button which is mounted on the top of the unit. I suspect that I will be using the brightest setting continuously as I find the lower setting a little too impractical for my liking.What makes this light so very versatile is that it comes with a mains power adapter and a reasonably long USB cable which you attach to the light at its mount then it can be used to power the light continuously without any batteries or you can use batteries on their own without attaching the power cord.There's nothing that tells you that if you were to use rechargeable batteries could you use its power supply as a battery charger? Eitherway, this light is a definite winner for me and I'm really pleased with my purchase.Additional Note: I haven't used the batteries to check how long they will last because I want an uninterrupted light source but as someone else has commented I suspect that you should get a good couple of hours from batteries perhaps considerably more.

This light is absolutely brilliant for using in our dark living room and has two settings - bright, and super bright. There is a very sturdy clasp (probably quite heavy if your music stand is flimsy). Anyway - at home, brilliant.I took it out to perform in a concert and then realised it is huge. The heavy clip is quite big and interferes with sheet music. It's such a big light that it was a bit OTT compared to my band-mates who had simple, lightweight lights (like the double antennae style). Perhaps in an orchestra pit it wouldn't be so out of place.

Got this to attach to my music stand, to use at gig. Glad I looked at reviews, as some of these lights don't illuminate enough of the two sheets of an open book. This is excellent. Added advantage is that it operates off both battery and electric power, so can be used anywhere. Good value and good product.

i bought 4 of these for a quartet recital to be played in a room lit by candles(!) and the product was fantastic. The light is wide enough to cover both pages and the bright setting makes all the music so clear. We used the mains not the battery but I would always have spare batteries for a performance so if they don't last that long you can replace them. As for the fitting - the lights fit all stands comfortably and securely. We had no problems even with the slightly cheap lightweight stands. Really would recommend it and the price is very fair.

I bought this to replace a two-stem light I clip to the music stand on my Yamaha Genos piano keyboard and on which one of four bulbs was failing and blinking intermittently. The 9 LEDs are more than enough to fully illuminate two A4 pages - and that's on the dimmer of the two settings. The strong spring on the clamp ensures the light is held steady on the music stand - but it is quite bulky and a music book open as a spread does not lie flat. However, I also chose this particular light because it has a mains lead (as well as battery). I suspect batteries will not last long with 9 lights to illuminate. So I am very happy with this light at the moment. It remains to be seen how long the LEDs last.

This is the 3rd stand light I’ve bought from Amazon that doesn’t work. The first wouldn’t switch off, the second (more expensive, with 2 ‘arms’ broke down after 8 uses, on one side). This one arrived today and I need it this evening, but it won’t charge. It’s been charging (batteries in) most of the day, and still won’t work without being plugged in. In addition, the clear Perspex in front of the LEDs is smudged and dirty - on the INSIDE! Really really not good. I’m hoping I’m just unlucky (yet again) as I bought my wife the same model last week and so far, that one is still working. I’ll keep you posted. It’s only been used once…🙄

before i start please see the 5 stars i have given as minus 5 stars because thats about what it deserves my one is completely autonomous if it decides to work its a great light nice and bright thats if it wants to play ball , thats not often ,the other day i was playing my cello and it turned its self off or it will go dim come up bright then go off completely and thats if you can get the dame thing to work in the first place. ps if you buy the best of luck
