Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose to buy two of these album holders because of the many recommended reviews and the reasonable price. They are easy to assemble and very sturdy to hold over 50+ of my mom's albums and 60+ of mine. There is also a lock on the front similar to the TSA approved locks on luggage. The only downside is the holders are so heavy now that I think I will consider buying the ones that have wheels.

This product is a very good product. Functionally has all the ways of protecting vinyls records. It is easy to use. It is easy to transport. The look is good. Gift value is reasonable.

Very nicely holds many vinyl records. I love how simple and compact it is. I tested its durability in terms of being fire-resistant by holding a lighter to it and it didn't so much as leave a mark. I don't know how it would hold up in a house fire but I found that to be rather promising and I'm sure it would keep water out.

If you have an extensive vinyl collection like mine, you want a storage solution that will keep your records in excellent condition. While the fireproof claim of this product is questionable—since the material may be fire-resistant but not sufficiently insulated to protect the records inside—you would need a much thicker case for true fire protection.The primary issue I encountered is that all of my vinyl records are stored in protective sleeves: anti-static sleeves for the records and clear vinyl outer sleeves for the record covers. Additionally, I own box sets, tri-fold record sleeves, and many rare vinyl records that I prefer to store in a safe, dark place. While the lock on this case won't deter a determined thief, it is effective at keeping children from accessing and potentially damaging your collection.However, when stored vertically, the records extend over the edge of the zipper. This design flaw concerns me as it risks crushing the corners of the records and damaging the outer protective sleeves. In hindsight, I wish I had opted for a hard-shell case, even though I was trying to stay within a budget. Nevertheless, this product is definitely a step up from a cardboard box or milk crate.If you can afford it, I recommend investing in an Odyssey case, which is where I store my extremely rare vinyl and limited pressings.
