Very pleased with sound quality and surround sound for a minimalist solution
Definitely pumps up the bass and volume. I was surprised at how much surround sound it actually replicates. I got these for my daughters. I can tell when she's using it. She likes it quite a lot and finds it easy to use and synced with her TV remote easily. I had put the next one up from this in my bedroom after deciding I didn't want/need remote speakers or subwoofer - I have a great surround sound system in the family room. Mine is with a LG TV, some times there is a brief delay after turning the TV on before it syncs to the TV - you do have to press the volume up button to activate it on my tv, the daughter does not have this issue on her TV which may also be a LG. Every once in a while, like 3-4 times in 2 years I have had to unplug aand plug it baack in due to no response from it's remote or TV's remote.

Excellent!
I was going back and forth about whether to get a single sound bar or one with rear speakers/subwoofer. I am so glad I chose this one. The unit produces great sound with easy adjustments and customization via the Vizio app. I live in an apartment so I really appreciate the "night mode" effect that limits bass and subwoofer to stay below levels that might disturb your neighbors late at night. I also love that it has so many ways to customize your sound depending on what you are watching/listening to. The whole unit is built really well, and each piece feels solid and high end. The subwoofer, when I allow it, is wonderful adding depth and punch to movies and shows. The rear speakers add a dimensional quality to the sound. I've connected via bluetooth to listen to music from my phone and it connects and stays connected. At this price for this much sound I think it is a great value!

Patience
I really really hated this unit at first, I just couldn't get the sound right. I did go through the prompts to return. I had the system set up like the directions said. Sound bar on the TV, bass next to the couch and each surround sound speaker on each side of the couch, and I hated the sound! But I was in Sams club a day or two later and they had this unit set up. They had all the speakers together pointing towards the customer, and the "play" button you can press to try them out. I actually liked the sound alot better once they were positioned together. I went home and gave it a try and decided to keep the set. Some programs I do have to increase the volume, but I have never had to max it out. I think playing with the different sound settings through the app was helpful. For the money I spent I think its a good value. Maybe now that I am more used to the surround sound feel I will move the surround sound speakers next to the couch and see if I like it. TBD

Great Sound, Great Price
I had the previous version of this sound bar, and it crapped out on me about 5yrs in. After much research, I decided to stick with Vizio and bought the newer model. I really love the wired-in aspect and that the sound bar turns off and on with the TV remote. I no longer have to keep track of two remotes! The app pairing for sound control is also very easy to use. The sound overall is great! I'm glad I went with this option.

Small system, but don't let that fool you. Better than roku surround.
Had a roku streambar with a pair of speakers and the Bluetooth roku sub before this. I was skeptical when I saw how small the speakers and especially the sub were. Happy to say the bass is a HUGE improvement and the overall sound quality is better than the roku system. Also plug and play on a samsung QLED and vizio app settings are way more customizable. For the price I can't imagine something much better. Don't let the size of the system fool you! It's great!

Get the Vizio app
I purchased this set for my new Hisense 75U7N tv. The tv is great but the sound controls are practically non-existent. So, I purchased the 5.1 Vizio soundbar with subwoofer and rear speakers. Warning: don’t try to adjust the settings in the Hisense tv. You’ll never get it to sound right. Get the Vizio mobile app and pair with your tv and then with your phone. Setup was easy. THEN you can adjust the sound from the app to your heart’s content. Easy. EQ as well as preset Movie and Music settings. After that the sound is amazing! Great price. Great sound.

Do NOT Buy for Use With Nintendo Switch/Switch 2
Heads up: do NOT buy this soundbar if you enjoy playing Nintendo Switch or Switch 2, and plan to use it with either of those systems. Everything else about this surround system is great; audio quality punches above its weight, it's well-built, it's highly customizable. HOWEVER, it does not cooperate with the Switch systems. Basically, it seems to have some sort of built-in noise gate that is impossible to disable, so sounds below a certain threshold simply don't play -- you will not hear *any* of the sounds that normally play on the Switch's user interface, music from retro games is completely ruined, and lots of dialogue and sound effects are clipped. I was hoping this would be fixed with Switch 2, but it's not and I've had enough. I'm ditching this soundbar and finding something else.

Remote control sold separately, but still a good value!
This little setup makes a world of difference when viewing your TV. It has surprising bass for such a small subwoofer. The treble is awesome too and you can hear dialog in movies and shows really well. You get a great value for the money spent. The wireless subwoofer is a nice touch and the 2 surround speakers are wired to the sub with 2 cords that have a good length to them. The speakers are lite weight and durable. The only thing I don't like is that they don't include a physical remote control with them. You have to use a phone app that can be a bit of a pain to keep connected to the speaker's when you use your phone for other things while watching TV. I had to purchase a remote from Vizio which was an extra $10 on Vizio's website. I mean, just include the remote Vizio, I shouldn't have to purchase it separately after paying a little over $200 on this setup. But besides the remote, overall I'm pleased with my purchase. I would've gave 5 star's instead of 4 if the remote was included. I don't know...I guess it's a way for Vizio to squeeze another $10 our of you!
