At first I didn't know if it was working. But it must have just been in the resting part of the program because after waiting a few minutes it started up. Just like the manual says. About 2 minutes rotating one way, then 6 minutes of nothing, then 2 minutes back the other way.The wood is really nice and the design of it is just so refined. It looks quite nice in my office because I have a walnut theme going on in here. The motor is relatively silent. I feel like I can hear something that doesn't quite sound like motor noise, but more like it is just rubbing a tiny bit. But on the shelf behind me I don't hear anything at all.As a person who just wears a mechanical watch on special occasions and a CMF Nothing watch every other day, this is a really helpful thing to have.

The watch winder worked well straight from it's shipping carton. Totally silent operations, for the first two weeks but now makes a soft purring sound on occasion while active. The only other observation I have is that the unit seems to keep the automatic watch wound but not over wound.

Bought for my boyfriend for Christmas, he has an expensive watch that needs to be wound, he was always shaking his wrist to get it to work, when I saw this product i thought i would give it a try. Its been 5 months, and so far, its worked great! It's extremely quiet, we leave it plugged into the wall even though it can run on batteries. Its small so it doesn't take up much space.

I got this watch winder for my father for Christmas and he was very happy with it. Unfortunately, it broke last month and won't turn on anymore. I tried to find a way to contact the seller, but either it isn't available or Amazon made it very tough to find. You'd think a fairly simple device like this would last more than 4 months, but maybe I just got a defective unit. If the seller reaches out to me to resolve the issue, I will update my review. For now, I wouldn't recommend this item because it hasn't been reliable in my experience.
