This coop door is fairly easy to install. It opens and closes as it should, and so far, it's holding up well. I do have it slightly under cover from the elements, so I can't provide an opinion on how weather-resistant it is. Overall, if I needed another coop door that opened from the top, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.

This works great! I actually put it on my barn door so my barn, cat and any chickens that like to put their eggs in there could go in and out without the barn door staying open all day long

I bought this a while ago for my chicken coop but the remote stop working is there a way to reprogram it or is it just a bad remote. Please help!

I have bought a few of these over the years. They were always kind of junky. One had literally a string that pulled the door up and down. One totally chopped the heads off 3 chicks at once. Another was way complicated and looked like it was put together from some kids electronics experiment kit.This unit perfected it. It works everytime. it has a gear that meshes into slots in the door and it turns and the door goes up or down. perfect. And the included solar panel keeps it fully charged at all times.I really like this door and im not losing my girls to predator now (unless they just fail to go in). it beeps before it shuts which alerts them to get in quick. and the girls are usually inside just before it beeps anyway. with the change of daylight times though, i need to figure out how to time them so they dont get left outside. but you can set it to open/shut w the light/dark or on a timer, which was my problem as the days are getting longer the door shut too early. Thats not the doors fault though, thats me for not accounting for that. now i know.

Not sure weather I like it or not. Seems like every other night the door only closes ½ way.Update *** DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! This either doesn't close all the way at night or open all the way in the morning. Depends on it's mood. It also needs assistance opening from time to time, even with sun on the panel. If your looking for an automated door to make things easier, this is NOT your door. You're still going to be doing the opening and closing. Just for at an extra cost.

We absolutely love this thing and will get another! 10/10 we had a weasel problem and needed our chickens safe at night to go up in the coop especially when we are g home and have the door close behind them. This just works so perfectly 😁 super easy to install. Easy to use . Super great value for the money. And it's solar so we don't have to run long cords to it.

Experienced many technical issues with this product including the solar panel not charging the door, inconsistent open/close times, and the door randomly opening. Would not recommend.Update: Customer Service was excellent, and when I reached out to the seller they offered to send a replacement door.
