A great movie night projector with punchy Dolby speakers
I was looking for a projector after finding my almost 2 year old son climbing up on the bookshelf to try reach the TV. I figured that I had 2 options: either wall mount the TV and hope he wouldn't try to climb up to it in the future, or swap out the TV for a projector. Since he's able to move chairs and boxes around to climb onto things, I knew a projector would be best for movie nights and what limited screen time he has. This projector is perfect for movie night, and it's small enough to pack into an overnight bag for a trip. The Dolby speakers get quite loud and they lack a thumpy, punchy bass too. I have tried cranking the volume to the max, but at around 35-40% it was already producing more volume than my old TV.I didn't have a projector screen, but even on the semo-gloss gray walls the picture is bright and clear. We have only been using the projector at night inside, and it's perfect for our needs - watching movies on Disney+, Netflix, or YouTube through the connected Google TV dongle. A nice surprise was that the remote for the projector is able to control the connected device, so no need to carry around 2 remotes at all times. After getting this projector, I'll be on the hunt for a projector screen to match with it. I do like the smaller footprint and portability of this model, and the ease of use. The remote has a button for doing automatic keystone corrections and autofocusing. There's also built-in object avoidance, so if you're setting up the projector but part of the image is obscured by sometting, the projector has a camera on the front to make the adjustments for you.Overall, for the price I'm quite happy with this projector. It ou ches above its weight, throws a large image of 100+ inches, and it can double as a Bluetooth speaker if you just want to jam out to some music. Although there's no built in streaming services on this projector, for me that wasn't an issue. I've lost count of how many spare Chromecasts and video games systems are sitting in the closet, so it wasn't an issue. Plus that's one less device I need to look up usernames and passwords for to get online. And if you're using a laptop, the box does come with an HDMI cable so that was a nice touch. I definitely will be recommending this projector to friends and family, especially at this price of under $300. There no way to get a TV this large for even close to the same price, and after experiencing this huge image, I'm sold on big displays!Features:Auto keystoneObject avoidanceBluetooth audioHDMI inputEthernet portWi-Fi connectivityPros:Bright image with vivid colorsLarge imageGreat sounding speakersGreat to use as a Bluetooth speaker when connecting phone, laptop, etc.1 button to auto keystone and autofocus on in the remoteObject avoidanceRemote can control devices via HDMI CECCompact footprint and modern designCons:No built in streaming servicesNot much of a con, able to plug in devices via HDMIOther than firmware updates, unsure what the Wi-Fi and Ethernet are for since there there's no streaming servicesBest to use in a dark or very dimly lit environment. Suffers from poor direct daylight performance just like most projectors.

Great sound and video quality
The media could not be loaded. First impression is that the projector has neat and clean design that looks like luxury sub-woofer. I would have believed it was Apple product if someone said so. Especially when the lens cover is on, it looks really like small woofer unlike most projectors that look like traditional projector. It is a huge plus. Top and side is covered by grey semi-perforated cloth that adds fancy accent to the unit but it seems sound directly comes from the holes in the front, not through the cloth. The base dimension is small due to vertical design so it requires relatively small space to settle down. There is included manual but I didn’t have to look it up at all because the set-up process is very simple and everything is intuitive. It has several connection options, USB, HDMI – I use Fire Stick 4k, IR, Audio, and Lan port. Individual set up can be different but I believe most people use HDMI for video source and use projector speaker just like how I intend to use it. My setup needs just one outlet for the projector. I was able to plug in Fire TV Stick to projector’s USB port directly to power up and connect HDMI side to projector’s HDMI port to send content to projector. If it’s your first time to set up Fire Stick, it will ask you to set up Fire Stick remote so that it can control the volume of the projector speaker. Just skip this process. Instead, you can go to Display and Audio setting in Fire TV Stick settings and enable HDMI CEC. Then you can control Fire TV Stick using the projector’s remote controller, which is extremely convenient. HDMI can be connected with any supported device such as laptop, computer, or gaming devices, not only Fire Stick. Once HDMI device is connected, select HDMI as video source from the projector menu to show the content of HDMI device. The project will do everything necessary to make the screen look correct when it starts. Just make sure there is no object in front of the lens so that it can do its job right. When it detects obstacle, it will usually show message though. Whenever you need to fix screen issue manually, you can do it from the settings menu but there is one button in remote that does all automatically. The project has various features such as screensaver, quiet mode, USB storage read, theme support, and Bluetooth Screen Sharing but most important feature is auto screen adjustment: auto-focus, auto-keystone, smart screen fit, and smart obstacle avoidance. All of these features ultimately make your screen perfectly square regardless of the angle of the projector; you will always see theater like screen. Honestly, I didn’t have to do anything. It does all it needs every time I turn on the projector, when obstacle is detected, or when it detects skew/out-focus. When it doesn’t detect such issues for some reason, all I had to do is to push a button in the remote. Screenshare is quite convenient when connecting to iPhone to share iPhone screen. Just select screen share from the phone after you select screenshare feature from the projector. It is extremely simple to connect and works flawlessly. The sound quality of the projector is just like its appearance. It has smooth but strong base and is loud enough while keeping clarity to think I’m in cinema. I uploaded video that shows audio and video quality. The volume in the video is around 50% and it is louder than needed for me in person. There is audio jack but I don’t have headset with 3.5mm plug so wasn’t able to test. I doubt many people have such use case.As you can see from the color quality video I uploaded, it is bright and vibrant to show various colors clearly. It’s no different when playing game or watching sports. Rapidly changing colors are well defined, and I couldn’t find noticeable lag or blurry scene.Overall, iWIMIUS projector is excellent product with absolutely great sound and video quality, that are supported by solid software to control the hardware.
