Generic Wire Stripping Tool 8 inch Self-adjusting Cable Stripper Industry Stranded Wire Cutting

This is a great wire stripper. It can also cut wires and crimp a few sizes of uninsulated crimp terminals, but that's secondary. Its primary function is as a wire stripper, and it has interesting and complex mechanical machinery to do this. At the top are two blades which descend and clamp down on the wire. One blade cuts through the insulation. As you squeeze the handles more, the second blade pulls out the cut portion of the insulation, leaving the copper undamaged. Works very well.The cutter blade's pressure can be adjusted so that you can cut the insulation of thick or thin wires. I am using it to strip relatively thick 2.5 sqmm electrical cable but I believe you can use it to strip two or more cores of thinner twisted-pair cables too, all in one go.Very well made and solid, should last decades of normal use, I think.

Works really well but its large ,clumsy and expensive. The small cheap ones gets the job done.

I have been using Generic EBIVAEB52955 Wire Stripping Tool 8 Inch Self-Adjusting Cable Stripper since about a month. I found it to be very useful for my Work. Used it for very small gauge wire & up to 4 sq. mm wire, it strips very efficiently, as it is self adjusting. It is also a good wire cutter & a crimper. Totally Satisfied!

I spent quite some time before ordering it, since it appears a bit expensive. But it works like charm. If you are DIY enthusiast, this will save you a lot of time and effort. Makes your work very simple, easy and quick. I would greatly recommend to add one of these to your toolbox. Different brands sell it within range of 500-700. I bought this one for 525/- with bank discount. Working fine for me. But I use it barely once or twice a month type.
