Finally ! The real thing!
This replacement for the Makita 1234 battery seems to be the real thing. They are just as heavy as the original, take just as long to charge and have the same power in my driver/drill. The weight is important and shows that they used the original cell type to build the battery pack. I only used it for a day but I didn't have to recharge after putting up plenty of drywall. Beware - Cheep copies use small, light sub-standard cells that don't have the capacity.Update: I looked at the old battery that I replaced and it was from the same company. It lasted over 4 years of heavy use!

Good quality product
An honest rated capacity, and a consistent product. Both batteries I purchased this time tested at 2.6 Ah capacity, which is a reasonable result for 3.0 Ah rated cells. More interesting, both discharge curves were almost identical, a sign of a consistent product with well matched cells. I have purchased this brand of battery in the past, and have usually found similar results when testing the batteries. However, these don't last as many years as the genuine Makita batteries do. If you are not going to buy the Makita brand batteries, these are the next best choice that I have found, based on buying and testing about 8 different brands of 12 volt "Makita style" batteries over the past 6 years

Fits perfectly in my Makita Drill
I had purchased the wrong battery last year. So when I started looking at the different options, this battery stood out to be the best. If you go to the ExpertPower website, it will compare other batteries to theirs. I just started using one of them to drill a 3/4 in hole in a 4x4 pole. The power torque was amazing and drilled the hole faster than before.

Not doing it for me.
Bought these batteries because I only have 1 real Makita battery left and I have other Makita tools to use. Do have to say these two 12v outlasted the 2 18v batteries I bought for my Dewalt cordless impact, sawzall and drill, not the best money I've spent. Guess I'm going to bite the bullet and spend the money to buy real batteries.

Nice upgrade so far
Fit drill and charger perfectly and brought new life to my 9 year Makita drills. Got 2 identical drills w/4 batteries as insurance replacements and although these did not see much more than household action all 4 batteries would not last for than 15 minutes. There are so many cool updated drills and sets all battery powered but for $60 I have 2 high powered drills again. Spending $60 every few years (if needed) is worth the performance value especially if you are partial to the drills. This is and upgraded battery not just any ole replacement and it's the same color as the old batteries just w/o the stickers. If short term usage of the batteries become negative I will update the review.
