SKIL 9295-01 6.0 Amp 4-1/2-Inch Angle Grinder

I really do like this grinder skil is a great brand probably not if better then black and decker maybe better but the value was pretty good cheap for my taste and more trust worthy then harbor freight you know when you buy a skil product it’s gonna be good but the output is very good cut through 1/2 rods in a non working scraped woodchipper gas powered and it started to bog down but was pretty heavy duty and the wheel was getting short literally grinding down and cut through some piece of thick steel and is powerful my my this thing powerful I’m glad I got this then harbor freight probably similar but better in my case and I prefer cored overt Cordless because UNLIMITED power and you don’t have to buy an battery or worry about it tearing up on you even if it’s name brand overall I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO the hobbyists and even some mechanics just starting out and some jerry rigging stuff backyard silly projects godbless every one John 3:16 please read!.

When shopping for power tools, I always lean towards quality and durability. I want something that can handle the workload I will be doing. That means a full day of grinding, cutting, and sanding.Skill has a very good reputation for quality and durability.The product arrived on time, packaging was very good, and the tool exactly as described. Easy instructions to follow and it came with a grinding disc. (Good quality sales)Operation was straight forward and I was very impressed with the power, even under load, it functioned perfectly.Overall, it’s definitely a tool to have in your toolbox. Something that will last and will do the job it’s intended to do very well.👍👍

Grinder works good and real lite

I bought this grinder to sharpen mower blades and it does a nice job. The reason for the 4 stars is the switch does not lock into place like it says it does, but for the price I cannot complain.

Works great - good priceI now know why this angle grinder is so popular. This angle grinder works excellently. With a cutting disc it cut right thru thin gauge metal with ease. It feels solid as well, and tbh it is fairly light weight and easy to grip. Ive read some say the power button is a bit cumbersome but almost right away I got used to it and its benefit is that it is very easy to power off.So basically what I like about this SKIL angle grinder-relatively light weight-relatively easy to handle / grip-handle can be screwed (threaded) on either side and the top (3 positions to attach the handle)-the wrench for changing discs is conveniently incorporated into the handle-smooth engine / smooth sounding and "feeling" when in operation-tried and true many many people use this grinder and most give it a high rating-good price-overall works great-if it should matter it looks cool (opinion)I highly recommend this angle grinder. It is relatively low priced, it works well and it is very ergonomic with its handle being able to attach three different areas (right, left, top), girth not too wide to comfortably grip and (again) it is relatively light weight. Comfortable to use.Id also recommend some over the ear hearing protection / attenuation it is pretty loud over the ear type will make taking on and off very easy (Walkers NR34 right here on Amazon work well fyi).Good stuff right here from SKIL. Highly recommended.

It works wonderfully for its cost and power

Edit 10/7/2024 - I have used this grinder for a couple of years now and it has done everything I have asked to to - grinding concrete, sharpening mower blades, cutting square tubing, cutting deck screws, and more. It works great for me. The only downside is the on/off switch. It doesn't always stay locked in the "ON" position and sometimes won't lock.It might be just me not hiding it right. For what I do, it hasn't been a real problem. If this might be a problem for you, beware.I can't believe I waited this long to buy an angle grinder. I have been able to do without it, but this will make a lot of jobs easier.The main purpose for me buying this grinder was to grind some concrete on my screen porch. I purchased this grinder along with the HERZO Dust Shroud and the KSEIBI 644030 4-1/2-Inch Double Row Diamond Cup Grinding Wheel. They did the job great. The weak spot was the shop vac filling up with dust and the filter clogging. The Skil held up fine. It did get a little warm after 10 minutes or so of steady grinding. It cooled off as I emptied the concrete dust.If you need a grinder for jobs around the house, I wouldn't hesitate on this one.

Works perfectly and as expected. Average size, lightweight and seems to be durable.
