Miracle product

I've been putting this into my older cars for years. i tested this in college for a nano paper and we ran an old car out of oil and this stuff kept it going. I swear by it now! quality is amazing and it goes a long way.

Excellent quality and 101 applications around house or shop

Very happy with the quality of product along with its performance. What was important for me was that it's average particle size was 0.5um as one of the applications was to add a small quantity to my 1996 Chevy Suburban 5.7L engine oil. Cold starts are the number 1 factor for damaging engine. If your vehicle sits for long periods of time having extra protection against the metal-metal contact (w/ low lubrication) will preserve your engine or if your engine is going through oil and you end up running low you can damage the bearing seals or seize the entire engine. As for this product it wont dissolve in oil but it will readily become suspended and a LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. It won't take more than a teaspoon to turn a quart of oil black. Back to the reason for 0.5um particle size is it needed to be small enough to pass through the oil filter and not get filtered out of the oil or end up clogging the filter. A decent Filter media usually Will catch around 99.5% of particles 20um and some are advertised as 2/20 - 10/100 meaning they will catch 90% @ 2um and 99.5% at 20um. So the importance of having a particle size 4 times smaller rather than half as small at 1um would mean higher likelihood that the particles wouldn't get filtered. The other use I had was to add a small amount to one of those oil application bottles with a pull out tube (used for oiling sewing machines or small access points) and I used it to oil squeaking hinges on tool boxes and doors in the house, roller wheels for garage door and just about every hinge point on any tool I had. While the oil is will eventually stop lubricating, the tungsten disulfide will be deposited and remain as a dry lubricant keeping the part in question working smoothly for years longer. It is one of the most robust and lowest friction coefficient compounds known to man.I also added it to some wheel bearing grease to form a hybrid. You'll see this done by some tool manufacturers with molybdenum disulfide and grease for meshing gears, it apparently helps to save on machining costs (you can use formed gears that have a "poorer" surface finish as the moly/grease will embed in the pores and help achieve desired lubricity instead of machining from stock steel).Anyway more than you all probably care to know but I do have 1 very important disclaimer. This stuff will stain just about anything, it easily transfers to surfaces and you'll have a mess of fingerprints everywhere if you're not careful. If you spill some on the floor be careful as it's deceivingly easy to slip on too.

Seems to make a difference

I bought this along with some superlube full synthetic general purpose oil with teflon to put into a needle oiler for lubricating various things around the house and in my cars.My first practical use was on my toolbox in the garage. The drawers have started to develop a bit of resistance and grinding noise after being loaded with a decent amount of weight. I first dabbed a few drops of superlube on a particularly noisy and rough drawer to see if it would help by itself. It smoothed it out and reduced the noise a pretty respectable amount. The next day I took about 2.4g of superlube (probably less than ~10ml) and added roughly .2g of this stuff and gently mixed them and added the mixture to my needle oiler. I then added a few drops to the same drawer and I’d say it definitely made a difference. It’s not earth-shatteringly better than with just the superlube, but it’s noticeably smoother and quieter. It did seem to leave behind a film in the mixing cup and in my needle oiler, but I think I might need to use more to get the same effect on the drawer slides.I definitely recommend using a fine filtered respirator when mixing this stuff. It produces a mist of ultra fine particles even when carefully tapping the nozzle to get some to pour out. Many of the manufacturers of this stuff swear up and down that it’s inert and non-toxic, but I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Good source for WS2

Has been hard to find but Amazon has it now. When you need an additive to reduce friction this is the best! Some put half a teaspoon of this in oil change to reduce friction but I wouldn't as it is not rated for flow with motor oils.I put this in grease and apply to things needing lubrication

Slick !

The 0.5 µ means it's like powder and that worked nicely for me to add a bit to my hot paraffin wax for bike chain lube. The packaging is perfectly minimal and the little spout could prove useful for other needs; maybe in lieu of graphite in locks.

Product may be great, but seller failed to timely ship

The seller failed to ship the item in a timely manner. Had to get the order cancelled and buy from someone else. Purchase made on 11/20. Seller did not print label until 12/1, and did not actually ship until 12/5.

Great Stuff

Works as advertised and arrived when promised. The house back door handle has been very hard to turn for quite some time. I've tried graphite and molybdenum oil, all which failed after a short time. I've only had the tungsten disulfide powder on the mechanism a few days, but so far it's working like new.
