Used the wedge for a 5.4 timing job. No issues. Held just fine torquing cam phaser bolts.

Good Wedge
2004 5.4 3V TritonMy “set” didn’t come with cam lock tool. I bought it for the wedge anyway. Not sure why they would put these two as a set, because if you have the from cover off so you can use the cam lock tool correctly, you don’t need the wedge. Regarding the wedge, it worked great. Very sturdy, didn’t feel like it was going to break, or come off of its rod. Took a firm tug to un-wedge it from the chains too. I put a slight curve in the rod to help dodge the phaser, so when I went to the opposite side I actually put the tool in upside down so the bend was the same direction to dodge the phaser, and it still worked fine. I do recommend, even if you don’t get or need the cam lock tool.

Great tool for weekend mechanics
Good quality for the price. I didn’t use the cheese wedge but used the phaser lock out tool and crank timing line up tool. Fit was tight with no movement, and lock out looked and preformed perfectly.

Great Quality tools
I was actually impressed how well made these tools are. The phaser locker bolted on perfectly and the crankshaft alignment tool aligned my timing dot at exactly 6 o'clock. I didn't think I would end up using the cheese wedge for my timing job but I'm glad I paid for this complete set over others as I ended up needing the cheese wedge after I installed something wrong. It save me hours of disassembly and reassembly.
