Highly recommended
I was using a garden hose to wash and rinse my car. The water left spots that needed professional cleaning to remove them. This filter changed hard water to soft and no more spots.

It works to eliminate mineral deposits
Very effective. I needed to find a way to eliminate spots on my windows when I did exterior wash. We have hard water that left spots when I rinsed. No more.

cannot connect without leaking
I thought it was user error when the first one would not thread well on a hose and there was a constant pant wetting leak. Tried the second and it would NOT thread properly and leaked badly as well. I dont understnd how this happens, and it was on two different hoses. Buy these if you like cold showers!

Low flow with 45psi well, works ok
I have well water good flow but pressure is at 45 psi ( easier on system I have). Good water low ph and low sediment.Car is 5th gen Camaro 2ss silver metallic ice ( think c00rs light can ). Freshly ceramic coat, So spotting on paint is hard to see but on the black stripe and glass i saw little improvement. With the filter inline there was so low flow and pressure it was hard to get everything washed and rinsed off and perfect weather 65 shade light breeze and still had issues... Maybe if you have ok city water pressure things will be ok.I use there inline filters for ice machine and eyewash stations at work ( in town ) with good results so this may be just be a well thing. I will try it on city water and see.

Simple, effective mineral filtration
The media could not be loaded. If you wash your vehicles at home as I do, I make use of a power washer for the pre-rinse and the final rinse. With the pre-rinse I'm just trying to knock all the major dirt off the surfaces and wheels to minimize how much particulate matter winds up in my wash mitt. With the final rinse I'm trying to make sure all the soap is removed and that I'm not leaving water with a lot of hard water minerals on the surface where the sun can quickly turn them into water spots or lead to streaking.I use the aqua Crest in the final rinse portion. I screw it onto my water hose and then using a quick coupler, I attach it to my power washer. I turn the power washer back on hold the release handle down and count to 10 in order to flush all the hard water minerals out of the line leading up to the gun. Then I start to rinse my vehicles from the top down, knowing that I'm leaving only highly filtered water with no minerals laying on the surface. Not only do these water droplets roll off the vehicle more quickly but as I'm starting to dry the vehicle by hand I noticed I hardly have anything left to wipe up because almost everything has drained off the car without leaving behind any streaking or hard water spots. A single cartridge will last you through dozens of car washes and for me I know I'm taking better care of my paint, and as I'm using my high quality drying cloth,I'm saving myself the trouble of having to try to stay ahead of water droplets that are leaving behind mineral residue. And this kind of approach is not just for washing cars; I also follow the same procedure when I'm washing one of the 25 windows in my house with the power washer and a specific kind of window washing solution in the power washer tank. I know that my final rinse is going to drain off the glass more quickly and not leave behind a lot of water spots. Save yourself a lot of extra time and energy and frustration and add this to any wash routine where a quality finish is required.
