These use the Tuya standard/protocol over 2.4G WiFi. If you are a standard user use the 'Smart Life' app wich will be much better than the manufacturers, this app is compatible with all sorts of software like IFTTT.If you are an advanced user you are in luck as these being tuya means you can use them in many ways including Home Assistant and even do a -very DIY- setup that would allow them use them locally (via TuyaLocal in Home Assistant) without the cloud (for privacy) or make them work with apple homekit via Home Assistant. In my case I've managed to control them locally then via apple home use the apple tv to control them remotely without using the Tuya Cloud for enhanced privacy. All of this at a fraction of the price that homekit compatible plugs would be.Also, as a nice surprise, these came with power measuring capabilities (not in the detail of the item) wich is a great addition at this price range. See picture of the power metering using the Smart Life app.Finally the plug looks nice snd clean when plugged (see pic), with a nice design and a discrete indicator light. The 4x box I got in my case comes as a 4x box (see pic) and not as 4 individuals -- so if you are looking to cheap out buying the 4 pack and split it into different presents you may be toasted hahaha. All and all a good all rounder starting pack for home automation with all that you can wish for with great options to make very tailored DIY setups.

Useless, neither plug works! Unable to power them on to put them into pairing mode. Tried multiple sockets around the house and they just don't do anything.

Great product but a nightmare to connect to my Orbi system. Wouldn’t automatically detect the first plug, had to manually set it up using the extremely complicated instructions (that were not up to date). Second plug connected after 2 or 3 attempts. However after 2 hours of messing around they work really well. Seamless integration into the Google Home app and are easy to configure in terms of timers etc. Doesn’t interface with Hive which is a shame but at the price point compared with Hive I’ll forego that functionality. Would recommend if you have patience in the set up process - although reading the reviews would suggest I’m in the minority having issues with connectivity. Worth a punt for sure at the price.

These are pretty solid once set up but can be a massive headache to get connected. Another even bigger issue is, if you have a power cut or even a blip and lose power to your home for a second or two, these will not automatically reconnect and all need deleting from the system and then reconnecting one by one so you go full circle into the connection headaches again, a huge pain if you have numerous sockets running on these.These could be great but really need some development and improvement
