Nature's Blend Niacin 50 Milligram 100 Tabs

I needed to start by taking small doses and finding 50MG tabs were hard to find for an inexpensive price, until I found this one. It’s worked great since. I’ve had no negative side effects. Since my body is sensitive to new medications, I plan on increasing dosage gradually in the upcoming months. Fast shipping, easy to swallow & awesome price for the quantity!

These are definitely the type of niacin that causes a flush. You don't want to know how I found that out. Let's just say I am thankful that I started with the lower dose.Supposedly the body builds up enough of this to stop flushing. I rarely have found that to be true in my case. Even with a gradual increase, I tend to really burn up with these. Kind of like red-man syndrome (a medication reaction) only with an itch. I've read that it is due to histamine in the body coming to the surface. I also read that some people enjoy the experience and find it relaxing. I haven't found that to be the case. I'm especially uncomfortable with the itch.I can handle the flush but it really freaks my husband out since I've had Stevens Johnson Syndrome twice.So, why did I give this Niacin 5 stars? Because it is the real deal.I had hoped it would help with anxiety, as some have said it does. For me, it didn't. Maybe it is because I wasn't able to tolerate high enough doses. I don't know.Nevertheless, I have purchased another bottle from the same company in a larger dose. I won't take as many of those a day or expect it to treat my anxiety. But, the B vitamins are important and for that reason I don't want to neglect Niacin. I haven't had my cholesterol tested in quite sometime. It was a tad bit high the last time. I understand that Niacin can help with that.Time will tell.

Love it. They are a smaller tablet (not gel tab) dose. This is rather important when you first start taking B-3. Even at 50 mg, the flush you get is apparent. In a tablet form, you can split them and work your way up to a recommended dose over time. The price is fabulous as well.

The first thing I noticed was that when I removed the seal, a cloud of white dust came out of the bottle and made me cough a little. It had a certain smell which is typical of niacin. It's not really a bad smell, just a dusty smell that's not supposed to linger in the whole house for a couple of days, which this actually did. It was that dusty! I know that niacin is naturally powdery, and I did get some powder/dust when I broke the tablets to take them, but so much powdery residue in the bottle that it still got in my throat days later every time I opened the bottle just seems very wrong.And man, did I ever get the flush! I started out taking half a pill for several days. Not every single day, just whenever I remembered. I thought I should start out with half, even though it's a pretty small dose. I was fine, so I took a whole pill yesterday. My first ever niacin flush, and hopefully my LAST ever! It was very painful, and it lasted about 90 minutes.I took half a pill again today, and I got about half the flush that I got with the whole pill yesterday. I thought going back to half would solve the problem since I'd never had it before from half a pill, but it didn't. So I'm going to change to no-flush niacinamide.The price is great and the pills are pretty easy to swallow, so I do recommend in that respect, but I also recommend starting slowly. Hope all that helps you. :-)

Love the niacin. Love the flush. Love everything about it. Can't wait to take more niacin TODAY. I'm like, a niacin fiend now. Give me the flush!! Hahaha just kidding. But seriously though. There is a flush. I know it's working. My mood has been steady. I feel calmer. I'm sure it's just what my body needed.

This is the smallest dose pill I found. I take one per day. I do get the flush in a minor way. Reminds me of a sunburn, then goes away. I keep taking it.
