Brought my old car into the modern age
I bought this in combination with a new all-screen head unit to replace my old factory stereo in a 1995 BMW M3 (E36). Routing the very long, provided cable from behind the stereo unit to the back of the car was fairly easy. The wiring instructions were accurate, but not very detailed, so I watched a few Youtube videos on wiring a backup camera to better understand all the connections.Due to my license plate being very tight against the trunk lock assembly, I had to mount the camera off center, but it resulted in a very stealthy installation and still works very well. Due to the offset mounting, I appreciated the option to "cut the white wire" to turn off the built-in parking assist lines and use the lines built into my head unit, which I could adjust for the slightly skewed viewpoint. The image is clear. The fuzziness you see in the photos is mostly due to the low resolution of my screen (only about 600x400 pixels for the camera image). Perfectly adequate for parking or seeing pedestrians. The viewing angle is very wide and I have mounted it so that the bottom of the screen can see the ground about 18 inches from the back of my car. The red line in the pictures corresponds to 3 feet and the green line is about 10 feet away.I have not yet tested the camera in the dark, but one of the reasons I purchased this unit was the low lux rating, so I expect it to work well with just my car's backup lights. I'll update this review once I have some nighttime samples.

Good quality camera
The video quality is clear and it feels very well built. It’s small and not very noticeable above my license plate. I installed it on a sedan and there was plenty of cable to reach the head unit. Easy install. I’ve used it about a month now and I’m happy.

Clear picture and built to last.
Works great! Clear picture and easy to install with aftermarket deck with reverse camera capabilities. Solidly built and comes with all hardware for basic installation. Guide lines really help with centering when in reverse and determining the distance to the rear vehicle.

Good for a quick replacement camera, granted your head unit does everything it can
Bought this camera to replace one I broke that came from an aftermarket radio. I'm not entirely sure how to get the cam to work without putting it into reverse, pretty sure that's because it's missing a wire the other one had specifically for this head unit, but it still works great regardless with clear video. Unable to test the 1080p because my unit only has 720p but again, I'm sure it looks great and will definitely test in the future if I ever get a chance. If you need a camera that will help you see great at night and feel safer at night with good colors. It's waterproof as well so no problems mounting to the back of my license plate, and the camera angle stays where you need it. Overall a good product, and not a bad price at all for what you get, good value. I'll change my stars to 5 once I can figure out how to wire the cam to always work with the car on.

Camera works great on my 2025 Can Am Spyder RT Limited
Just installed the PixelMan Backup Camera on my 2025 Can Am Spyder RT Limited and it works great! I used the provided license plate mounting bracket because I did not want to put holes in my bike. As you can see, it looks as good as the factory camera at a BIG FRACTION of the price ($30 compared to $300). It is clear and bright. Wiring was simple. I did not use the RCA cable because I had to connect this through the camera connector by the rear left tail light. I clipped the wire past the wiring hub to expose all 4 wires from the camera on the RCA side and stripped back and exposed them. The RCA portion has two wire (yellow and black). Black is not required, only the yellow for the signal to work. Still had to connect the red and black to power source. I also cut the white wire from the exposed wires to remove the cameras "guide lines", the guide lines you see in the picture is from my Can Am. The other two wires remained intact.Just follow the simple instructions and do an internet search for your specific vehicle and you can't go wrong.

Great little camera
Great value for the price. The license plate bracket wasn't the best fit due to the style of my car. No problem, the screws are very small be prepared to find them after the fall a few times. The wire was long enough to reach the radio no problem. The screen was reversed so I ended up cutting the green wire in the loop and it went to normal after a quick email response. Small plug was great so you don't have to drill a big hole to fish the wire through your car. The instructions was lacking on details but I made it with a little effort and trial and error. The software doesn't allow you to do all the things a high end camera does. For the price and picture great and night time vision was clear !!!!

great picture, pressure washer safe
Camera works well. Nice metal body, clear picture. Has great color during the day, and exceptional visibility at night for not having any night time LED's built in. Does get blurry when it rains but not much you can do about that.... Is definitely waterproof, I pressure wash my car and I hit it directly several times during the rinse and it works just fine.

Works Great, Except When It Doesn't (Overheating)
Here I am, a year later, with my third brand of aftermarket backup camera, and it's failing once again. It works most of the time, at least in mild weather, but the moment it's too hot or it's in direct sunlight for too long, it starts glitching out or just giving me a black screen. Usually driving around and presumably having it air cooled will get it working by the time I reach my destination, but it of course means every time I try to pull out of the parking lot at work in the mid-afternoon heat, I'm doing so without a camera.Unlike my previous cameras, this doesn't seem to be a degenerative issue. The picture is clear and high quality as long as it's not hot. I went through Fall and Winter without an issue. But now that we're headed into the warmer months, it's a daily problem, and I don't know if there's any solution. Maybe for the people that can keep this in a well-shaded part of their car, it's less of an issue.
