Bought this as a Christmas present for someone who was having a really hard time in life. Not sure if he ever read it but I really liked the authors original speech. I've heard amazing things about this book so I'm considering buying it again.

A short book that delivers life lessons from Navy SEAL training. Some ideas truly stick—simple, actionable, and powerful. Others feel familiar or surface-level. Still, a good peek into SEAL mindset and discipline.Rating: 4/5 — Some ideas are great, some just okay, but overall, a worthwhile and motivating read.

This book was so amazingly inspirational and insightful! I'm very grateful that I read it. The words of this book and the advice of the author were just what I needed at just the right time. I think everyone should read this book. I do believe that if we all took William McRaven's words to heart and followed his advice we could in fact change the world for the better.

I have bought several of these for graduation gifts. I can't think of anything better for a young man, or woman, to read this wonderful book full of insights. I loved it and the recent graduate really loved it too.

In 2023, I was in a book writing masterclass and I raised my virtual hand when the question was asked who has a topic. The first point I made in my topic was the task of making your bed. It makes a world of difference in a mindset shift. Two year later finding this book as I am preparing for another shift really hit home. This was a short yet powerful impacting read.
