Don't buy foam mounting tape, buy this instead!
You would think that tape is just tape, but clear acrylic mounting tape is truly legions ahead of the foam version. I've tried both, and while the foam one works, the clear one is way more versatile.Pros of acrylic:* Strong adhesion, enough to adhere posters, wall accessories, and the like* Easy to remove, comes off in one piece which is really important when you have an apartment or only want it to be temporary* Clear color. Helps to hide it if you aren't just directly covering it* Holds better in hot weather. I've used this to keep cables from moving in my car and this stuff sticks better when it's hot compared to the foam ones* Way more waterproof than foam. I use it to mount a sponge holder and it's been great.* Lasts way longer than foam. I've kept both inside a dry and cool drawer and I found that the foam one eventually loses its stickiness when just lying around. I won't fault the foam version too much since I've had it for a year or so inside the drawer, but the acrylic one stays sticky.Cons of acrylic:* More expensive per foot/meter. Not really an issue for me since I only use it sparingly, but might be a deal breaker for others.* Foam versions usually have a higher weight limit. If you are mounting heavier objects, you might need to buy foam versions instead.* Peeling and cutting is a pain. Scissors love to not cut properly from my experience and the film they use to prevent it from sticking to each other is unbelievably frustrating if you clipped your nails recently.I love using this for posters, sticking cables onto the wall (which is a budget way of cable management, don't judge), and mounting things like hooks and a sponge holder.

Strong double sided tape
Very impressed. This adhesive double side clear tape is fantastic. Very durable on both side. once you adhere the tape your item will stick. It is very strong. I have not been disappointed by this product. works great to use for hanging frames. just be careful, when you remove the frame you might bring some of the paint off.

Great tape, sticks well.
As with all things Gorilla, this stuff works well. Used to mount some bird spikes to a metal outdoor light. We'll see how well it holds up. Cutting this is a bit of a chore as it wants to stick to the knife or scissors. Be sure to use a sharp tool to cut.

Works well… a little too well, hard to remove.
Used it on to hang up my ring doorbell to my house (which had aluminum siding. Holds strong, and holds even when removing the ring doorbell to charge. Sold my house and moved to a rented apartment that has stucco and it is holding strong to the stucco. My only complaint is hard as hell to remove. Wasn’t able to completely remove it from my house with the aluminum siding. Not sure how it well it will remove from the stucco (hopefully easier since it is an uneven surface). Now I’m going to use it to install a front door lock that needs me to drill extra holes (can’t do that since it’s a rental. But worried about it not removing or taking the paint off the door… 🤞 it will remove easier than it did the aluminum siding.

MOUNTING MAGIC: ADHESIVE ATTACHMENT PERFECTION 🦍💪✨ [⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐]
Jay Fray delivering the enthusiastic truth about this Gorilla mounting tape that genuinely lives up to its tough reputation! 🙌After countless disappointments with mounting solutions that promise permanent hold but deliver temporary frustration, this tape has become my go-to solution for everything from picture frames to cable management. The adhesive strength is legitimately impressive—once properly applied, items stay exactly where you put them without the gradual sliding or complete failures common with cheaper alternatives. 🖼️💪The “clear” aspect actually works as advertised, becoming practically invisible once installed rather than creating obvious tape lines that scream “amateur mounting job.” This makes it perfect for applications where aesthetics matter as much as function, like mounting decorative items or organizing visible cable runs. 🔍✅What sets this apart is the removal capability that doesn’t destroy surfaces. Unlike permanent adhesives that require paint touch-ups after removal, this tape releases cleanly when stretched properly, leaving minimal residue that cleans away easily. This gives you confidence to use it on quality surfaces without permanent commitment anxiety. 🏠👌The thickness provides genuine cushioning that helps protect both mounted items and wall surfaces from damage during installation or minor impacts. The double-sided design distributes weight evenly rather than creating stress concentration points that lead to failure. 🛡️🔝Jay Fray verdict: One of those rare products that exceeds expectations while solving real everyday problems. The combination of holding power, clean aesthetics, and damage-free removal makes this an absolute game-changer for home organization and mounting projects. Worth every penny for the peace of mind that comes with reliable adhesive performance that actually works as promised! 🏆💯

It’s okay - not weather proof
Doesn’t stick for me! Put this outside for ring cameras. It says weather proof, but it was raining and it fell off. It was windy and it fell off. I tried everything but I can only “clean” brick off so much before I place this.

Shower use
It works great! Very sticky and strong. I used it in my shower and had to take it down a couple times to place elsewhere because I’m indecisive lol. But the tape didn’t damage the tile and kept a strong hold. I haven’t had any trouble with it holding things up with the steamy conditions of a shower.

Good for what it is.
Product is very sticky. Roll is hard to unroll. As it should be. Temperature should be considered. Product may run if very hot. May update this afternoon use.
