Don't buy foam mounting tape, buy this instead!
You would think that tape is just tape, but clear acrylic mounting tape is truly legions ahead of the foam version. I've tried both, and while the foam one works, the clear one is way more versatile.Pros of acrylic:* Strong adhesion, enough to adhere posters, wall accessories, and the like* Easy to remove, comes off in one piece which is really important when you have an apartment or only want it to be temporary* Clear color. Helps to hide it if you aren't just directly covering it* Holds better in hot weather. I've used this to keep cables from moving in my car and this stuff sticks better when it's hot compared to the foam ones* Way more waterproof than foam. I use it to mount a sponge holder and it's been great.* Lasts way longer than foam. I've kept both inside a dry and cool drawer and I found that the foam one eventually loses its stickiness when just lying around. I won't fault the foam version too much since I've had it for a year or so inside the drawer, but the acrylic one stays sticky.Cons of acrylic:* More expensive per foot/meter. Not really an issue for me since I only use it sparingly, but might be a deal breaker for others.* Foam versions usually have a higher weight limit. If you are mounting heavier objects, you might need to buy foam versions instead.* Peeling and cutting is a pain. Scissors love to not cut properly from my experience and the film they use to prevent it from sticking to each other is unbelievably frustrating if you clipped your nails recently.I love using this for posters, sticking cables onto the wall (which is a budget way of cable management, don't judge), and mounting things like hooks and a sponge holder.

Strong double sided tape
Very impressed. This adhesive double side clear tape is fantastic. Very durable on both side. once you adhere the tape your item will stick. It is very strong. I have not been disappointed by this product. works great to use for hanging frames. just be careful, when you remove the frame you might bring some of the paint off.

Can 100 Men Defeat a Gorilla?
It's debatable. But whats not is that this Gorilla tape is very sticky on both sides.

We have a sticky situation!
The media could not be loaded. I gave it four stars, because I recently purchased it and had to use it to put up my surround sound speakers that I have in my room! I previously bought a mound to put my speakers on, but it was too complicated and too much damn work! Like the directions I could not follow! I usually could follow directions perfectly and understand it and get it going automatically! But for some reason, the glue is helping more than the mound is! So as of right now, this glue is helping my speakers stay in place in my room! And it’s very sticky! Just make sure you know how much you’re using, and make sure nothing gets stuck to it besides what you want!I’m writing an update, I’ve been using it for my speakers that I have hanging on my wall. For some reason for one of my speakers, it keeps peeling off! Like I’ve already put like three layers of tape on one of my speakers, and that particular speaker it won’t hold! My other speaker is doing just fine with it, but my other one is not holding in place! All it does is fall! I’ve added 3 to 4 layers of this tape and that one speaker is not holding its place. As of right now, I don’t know what to do. It’s ridiculous!

Gorilla Who?
Had hopes for the mounting tape. However, it did not work on the cinderblock walls in my classroom to hang a mirror less than the 28 pound limit. It seemed like it would hold up but within an hour it had the mirror sliding down the wall. However it has held my string lights to the wall. So not all bad. But only gave it 3 starts because of it not holding up to the reason I bought it.

Shower use
It works great! Very sticky and strong. I used it in my shower and had to take it down a couple times to place elsewhere because I’m indecisive lol. But the tape didn’t damage the tile and kept a strong hold. I haven’t had any trouble with it holding things up with the steamy conditions of a shower.

Great stickiness for mounting but sticks to your hands, causing waste of product.
Gorilla is tough and this double sided tape is no exception!I took one star away for the simple fact that it’s so sticky, I had issues with it sticking to my fingers and so I had some product waste for that reason. It does the job well, but is difficult to use for this reason. I had to continually cut end pieces off that would overlap stick and be unusable.
