I am not exactly sure what I expected. Maybe I thought that they would be metal or a hard plastic. Instead, these are peel and stick, relatively soft and pliable. Regardless, I think that these will work well for year. My last truck had no protection there and while I don't recall ever stepping on the threshold, I must have as over time the threshold was scratched.

Get what you pay for
Kinda cheap, it sticks to your door rocker panel but don’t think you’d want to keep stepping on it. For me it was to cover some scratches and didn’t want to make it worse. Haven’t had long enough to tell about wear but its basically a decal.

I wasn't sure how these would work but wanted to give it a shot to protect the paint. Went on easy and are staying on with no issues. Ended up buying a set for all three of my trucks.
