Great product. My favorite mix. Try all the flavors.
Excellent product. Mix it up and wait a minute, it will thicken. Then add more liquid to your preferred consistency. I like all their products, especially the banana and also the pumpkin ones. I am diabetic so I use sugar free syrups. I also coat the frying pan with melted butter to up the flavor. I also add eggs even in the complete mix ones for an extra protein kick. If you don’t like these you’re probably not making them right.

Best pancake mix
These are the absolute best pancakes, protein or not. These are amazing and well worth the price. They’re extremely easy to make just add water. I’ve ordered other protein mixes etc from Amazon to get my protein for each day and these pancakes by far taste the best. Will continue to reorder.

The best pancakes, protein or not!
A friend brought these pancakes on a camping trip and cooked them up on a cast iron skillet with blueberries. Hands down the best pancakes I'd ever had, and he didn't tell me they were protein pancakes until after I gushed. Now they're the only pancakes I cook at home. I use a touch more water than indicated and plenty of oil in the skillet, since I like them thin and crispy.Since they do provide a complete protein, they also give all-day energy instead of a post-meal crash.

Nutritional facts change with new packaging and distributor
The nutritional details changed with their recent packaging update, so for those of you keeping track, make note of updates. For 1/3 cup, INCREASES by 28 calories, 8g carbs, 1g fiber, 2g protein, 1.7g sugar, and 269mg sodium. And then it DECREASES by 1g fat, 1g sat fat, 43mg calcium, and 40mg cholesterol. So the good news is no cholesterol, no fat, no saturated fat and now a little bit of fiber with the newer mix. The bad news is very high in sodium now, plus some increases to calories, carbs and added sugar. The former mix was distributed by Birch Benders in Louisville, CO. The new mix is distributed by Hometown Food Company in Chicago, IL. Birch Benders company was sold twice. Once in 2020 to Sovos, but they struggled to sell. So it was sold again in 2023 to Hometown Foods, so it would seem the new distributor now making product changes. The former pancake mix was one of my favorites. I ordered online because stores were running out (likely tied to new product rollout transition). I haven’t yet tried new mix to see if there’s a change in taste. I probably wouldn’t have purchased if I had realized the huge increase in sodium, but now I have 6 packages of it, so will probably just eat less often.

Yummy
We try to eat healthier at our house. Most protein waffles taste horrible. I have to say this brand never disappoints. You get the same flavor and fluffyness in the protein waffle and pancake mix that you get in plan mix. It doesn't taste bad. I prefer this over the famous Kodiak brand. Birchbender company is known for their tasty products. You can eat healthy and not pay over the top prices in the name of health food. We haven't tried their syrup yet but we are ordering it. I recommend mommas to try this brand. They have healthy ingredients and my picky kids love it!!!!!

Amazing and versatile
Like other people have said, these have a really good texture, but not much flavor. I like to add sugar free flavor syrups like caramel to the batter itself, erythritol, and cocoa powder to add flavor. It's a pretty excellent deal. One thing I'd like to say however, is that the nutrition facts say a serving is 1/4 cup mix, and the instructions say 3/4 cup mix. This means if you follow the instructions on the back, it's THREE servings, not one. That's 30g protein and roughly 400 calories. To add volume, I use cocoa powder, erythritol, and/or oat fiber or oat flour.Anyways, I still love this mix, and use it a lot in baking. It's a good deal, and since I don't like cracking eggs, it's convenient that this just needs water to work.Pictured are some chocolate pancakes I made with this mix! It really is versatile.
