Peace of mind.
I bought this because in our bedroom we have a DAB radio, the 12 volt power adapter decided to go bang. This caused our 50 inch TV to stop working and destroy the hdmi circuitry in the satellite box. So an expensive event. We also have a intermittent problem with power clicks from the boiler when the hot water is turned on and off, this causes dropouts on the TV and satellite. As this is a mains conditioner I decided to pay out for this instead of another TV or satellite box. Since its been installed we have had zero dropouts, it has a TV, satellite box, DAB radio, amplifier and Blu-ray player plugged in. I'm so impressed with it I've just bought a second one for our equipment in the living room as we recently had the 65 inch TV have a power supply failure, another expensive replacement. I now feel confident while watching TV in the living room as we have the same setup there with, obviously the same power spikes happening, even from the tumble dryer. We have no such problems now thanks to this excellent Mains Conditioner. Recommended.

Great for amateur radio shack :)
Great bit of kit i use this to rid of unwanted mains interfernce which i did get on my amateur radio station equipment some of the newer type radios ie sdr seem to be worse on mains noise ie switching devices on the same ring main.Led light sources etc can and do cause havoc it's a small price to pay for noise free joy.

It really works!
We have a running machine which when used creates noise on the electrical ring main affecting our ethernet network over power line adapters, no working network. Initially we tried clip on magnets on the running machine mains cable but with no success. We had some doubts as to whether these types of RFI filter extensions really work. Can definitely confirm this extension works in stopping interference entering onto the electrical mains ring circuit from any RFI noisy appliances you may have around your house.

Great value product.
I bought this to protect my hifi.Already use one for my second system, must be over 10 years old and still works well.It protects your expensive equipment from power surges that could fry your amp or suchlike. It also helps reduce RF interference which can spoil sound quality and hence your enjoyment of music etc. This will of course vary depending on the amount of RFI you have, but unless you're prepared to spend big money on reducing it using say Russ Andrews Conditioners then this is a good buy.It has a captive power lead 2 metres long. This should enable you to get it near your separates so you can use shorter runs of your expensive power leads.I reckon it's hard to find a better 6 way Mains Conditioner than the Tacima at @£40.I recommend it.

Does the job it was intended for
Of all the electrical goods I own my hifi equipment is by far my most important to me and having it all surge protected is a must especially as several times in the past I have witnessed other people suffer from equipment failure because they didn't have or believe in surge protection . Having recently moved my equipment to another part of the room the leads on them didn't reach the existing surge protection system so I looked at one expressly for my hifi and eventually came across this particular one, now I must explain that the "claims" of cleaning the electricity input via this I took with the proverbial pinch of salt (still do) I'm not a follower of the " hifi snake oil" community and rather, I purchased it on price being similar to the cost of my existing one ... in retrospect DOES it make a "sonic " difference? Well, I'm still enjoying listening to music so sort of yes because I don't worry about my enjoyment being ruined by a spike or surge damaging my equipment, build quality as it stands is about as good as you could expect from something that has to comply with the current electricity safety regulations and as all these things should do it runs silently, lastly the mains lead is quite generous and allows me to tuck the unit discreetly away a top buy just for the peace of mind it gives.

Well reviewed mains adapter. Bought for audio setup.
Well reviewed. Good amount of sockets. Seems robust and had no issues. Got it £5 cheaper than other retailers. Apparently an audio setup essential. Other options way more expensive.

Solved audio dropouts from Denon AVR-X2800H
I bought a Denon AVR-X2800H AV receiver in November to replace a Sony STR-DN1060 which blew up and couldn't be repaired (RIP). However, every time the boiler turned on or off, the sound on the Denon would cut out for a second. Very annoying. We didn't have this problem with the Sony.I already had an older Tacima CS929 mains conditioner which was ~10 years old which I bought to try and solve some other interference issues in an old flat (which it didn't). So I was hesitant that this newer model would do anything but to my surprise it completely solved the problem! No more dropouts!I've read that these conditioners do degrade over time and need replacing.I highly recommend this conditioner especially if you are experiencing similar issues with Denon amps. I may have saved the Sony AVR by replacing the older one sooner.
