Ideal companion for any history buff
Well thought through in every way. The size is great (18x25cm) so it fits into any shelf or on a desk for quick reference. The content accessible and in depth, and the print is very legible. The colours are beautiful. The most handy reference history atlas I've come across. This (unlike its unwieldy predecessors) is a keeper. Originally a French publication from 2019.

Essential for anyone interested in the world!
I discovered historical atlases when I began my undergraduate studies in Medieval history. They served me well - very well - in understanding the development of world history.I thought I should bring myself up to date and purchased this book.It is fantastic! I cannot stress enough how everything becomes so much clearer once you are able to plot events on a map. This book gives you that.

Big hit as a birthday present
Super happy with this purchase, got it as a birthday present for my history inclined spouse. This was one of his favorite gifts, spent a long time poring over all the maps and included history. Makes a great coffee table book.

Absolutely Stunning Book: Complete Atlas of History
This book is a hefty hardback book filled with succinct paragraphs of history and of course, colourful maps. It is worth every penny and I'm surprised it is not as popular as other mainstream books. Don't be fooled by the lack of reviews, I am expecting to see this book's popularity sky rocket in the following years. My only criticism would be to publish this book as an ebook or a paperback book. It would provide a cheaper alternative to other customers.

Odd choices
Very much centred on the western world. Some odd choices, like unnecessary maps of WW2 campaigns. There were other wars! Hoped to use it to get an idea of historical geography and borders, place names etc when reading or listening to history podcasts, but it’s of limited value.

Very interesting collection of maps
Excellent book and interesting collection of maps. It helps to visualise events that happened around the world and to understand that we are all connected. The book is mostly maps with some text explanations, so it is easy to browse it while drinking coffee. Love it.

Much smaller than advertised…
This is a lovely book but it is much smaller than advertised. Book details on Amazon state that it is 27 x 38 cm when in fact it measures about 18 x 25 cm.I am choosing to believe that this is a rather clumsy oversight - when the book is opened it measures 25 x 37 cm.I hope this is helpful.
