GarminHeart Rate Strap SS3 (without Transmitter)

Having gotten to a point with the previous strap that no amount of washing it seemed to make a difference, I bit the bullet and ordered a replacement. Everything happened in the usual efficient Amazon style and I am now back to using my Garmin 800 as an efficient training companion, efficiently keeping my heart rate in the required zone.So in summary, it works with the only downside being, as with all things Garmin, it is quite expensive. Perhaps you get what you pay for.

Like all Garmin chest straps this works perfectly when new but how long will it last. Experience suggests only a few months. Life can be extended by cutting it in half (but that's another story).

Good to know you can replace and not haveto buy the sensor unit

I bought this in february. It split into two pieces in July.They bonded it with glue.They recommend washing it in the washing machine - i didnt do this. I rinsed it off in the shower and let it dry, after every use.Doesnt last long for how expensive it is.I have contacted garmin directly to make a warranty claim.In use, it is accurate!
