Nightstick XPP-5410G Intrinsically Safe Permissible Penlight, 147mm, Green

I got 2 of these lights for my kids 3 and 6. It’s great because it’s not super bright so while the road to finally teaching them not to shine it in people’s faces is a long one it’s not so bad. They love the color too and it makes it easy to find. I just wish they had more color options since one loves green and one loves blue. It’s well made and I like that it also has a set screw you have to loosen in order to remove the battery and it’s solid and secure when tightened. Feels like it will last a long time.

This light is just about perfect for any task that you might have,compact,bright and easy to see when you need need it.

Good light as advertised. Bright enough and compact. Easy to carry in your pocket.

When you receive this flashlight the black screw you need to tighten (see photo) is already loose, so all you need to do is unscrew the flashlight top, insert the batteries, put the top back on & screw the black screw down to hold the cap in place. I'm writing this because I assumed the black screw was tight when it arrived & tried loosening it and almost stripped it.

I bought my first as an emergency light for my car. It’s been just great. Very well built. This is my second light and as more of my generic lights quit, I will replace with this one. Buy quality the first time. Very bright and easy to find power button.

I work on a ship as an engineer. I bought this for use as a pocket light for quick inspections during machinery space rounds. This light has been terrible. For one, it really isn’t bright at all, my iPhone light is better. I constantly have to adjust the lense/cap tighter or looser to get the light to turn on. Thought it might be a battery issue but it does the same thing with brand new ones. Yesterday evening in my stateroom while falling asleep, the light randomly started flashing and eventually stayed on while it was sitting on my desk. I can’t recommend this light if you’re actually using it in a work environment where intrinsically safe tools are required, or frequent use of the light is needed.

It started shorting out less than a month of use. Still have it but don’t use it anymore since it doesn’t work right. Flickers a lot. Wouldn’t buy this brand again.

Have two of these. Repeatedly fail to work at times when needed. Have to unscrew and tighten lamp head to get batteries to connect again. Three of them going in the trash.
