Brilliant - much more than a safe choice. I love it.
Nine months after I bought it, this printer makes me feel good each time I use it. My first encounter with printers was tens of years ago, with dot matrix printers. Since then I have had laser printers, colour laser printers and inkjets at home over the years. This printer is the best by far.All printers produce decent quality prints these days. What sets this one apart:1. It is hassle-free and totally reliable. The only time I need to do anything with it is when I reload paper2. It seems to run on ink vapour, not ink. The original bottles are still two thirds full after a lot of use3. Automatic double-sided printing saves costs4. Start up time is quick5. Printing and scanning are reliable. Not one jam so far, even using the sheet feeder to scan6. Printing from my phone, or iPad or Mac, it works every time7. When the printer flushes its lines, which I have never had to do for maintenance, the ink goes into an internal reservoir. Should that fill up in the years to come, you can replace it yourself with a new reservoir for around £10 from Epson's store.All-in-all, it could not be better for fuss-free quality printing.

Great ink saver
I use this for my office. The reason I purchases this one is that it advertised low cost printing and it certainly is a great ink saver. It prints double sided which is always a plus. Only downside it doesn't scan double sided. Its easy to use, fast to print and good colour quality. And barely make any sound.

Impressive
Had this for 18 months now.Print quality - excelentInk usage - very low and easily topped upPrint speed - goodPaper handling - good, including multi sheet feeder. It has physical adjustments for every paper size you can think of, only issue is Microsoft Word can't always get it right.Usage - it is left powered on the whole time and goes to sleep, then wakes up when required.Only complaint - it sometimes locks up and is difficult to get it working again.Be aware - it is big and heavy

Epson EcoTank ET-5150 A4 Multifunction Wi-Fi Ink Tank Printer
Bought this to sit alongside an older A3 Epson and a new Brother Laser purchased a few Months ago.The build quality is not what it used to be, the printer is very light for it's size and the thin plastic reflects this .. but it provides good print quality if a little loud and clunky. The primary reason for purchase was the EcoTank and Epson offering an extended 5 year warranty .. also given it was reduced to £336 with a further cash back of £60 direct from Epson it meets my requirements of a printer worth £276 - I would have sent this back at full price of around £440.The installation of Software was by far my main issue, the installation failed on both my Laptop and PC and I had to manually install the printer by IP address for Windows 10.. It took a couple of hrs to work all this out on my PC last night and 45 mins on my Laptop which had further issues. I do not recall having similar issues with my older A3 Epson and the Brother Multifunction Laser installation was completed without issue in just a few minutes. I'll need to see how this performs over the weeks and Months ahead.Update: It worked for a day on both the PC and Laptop and now BOTH report they cannot locate the printer, always offline - yet the display shows and "excellent" connection - the router is within 1 metre in the same room!! .. tried re-installation several time, both then intermittently work for the 1st few prints if I am lucky! - Have spent days not hrs on this. As a final resort will direct connect to my router through a network cable / Cat5 .. if this fails it's going back. Another issue I've found is that the paper comes out the wrong way and has to be pulled out from the back of the machine! - you can pull it forward but it creases - SO CLOSE TO GIVING UP ON THIS UNIT - It's proving not to be fit for purpose. Update: Connected it via an ethernet cable and it now works perfectly.

Fantastic Ink Jet
I am an IT professional and haven't used Epson printers for a number of years. Having been annoyed in the past by their ink cartridge pricing. This though is a wonderful printer economical with the ink. not too noisy in quiet mode though if printing as fast as it can go it is a little loud.Great print quality lots of features with a smaller footprint than I expected as the prints are deposited in the middle avoiding a sticking out paper tray. Duplex printing is quick also very good for a printer in this price bracket. The scanner with auto feeder work great (Single sided only though) as does the scan bed.Filling from the bottles is extremely easy and mess free. You even get a little more ink than a single fill. Not that you will be filling it often it really seems to last a lot longer than any cartridge system I have ever had. (I mainly print documents B&W)The drivers were a little annoying to install but overall a great printer.

Time will tell.. intermittent print quality!
Bough to expand my little business with the intent of printing my custom images, so I know I'm expecting a lot from a home/office printer, but all other reviews seemed really good..Pros: Excellent ink capacity. Really easily to set up. Really neat machine - smaller than expected. Quiet and quick that expected to print, even on high quality settings.Cons: So far the print quality has been intermittent at best, despite repeatedly cleaning nozzles and aligning the print heads (see picture) the black ink doesnt seem to want to kick in properly. Hopefully this was just the machine bedding in, but time will tell! For such an expensive home printer I was expecting better, if I'm honest. In the end leaving it alone for 2 days seems to have done the trick. I'll update this review if problems persist.UPDATE:It's awful at printing on the photo setting - thats where all of those washed out grey tones are coming from. If I send my images through the best quality DOCUMENT setting all of the issues are resolved. Not ideal, but definitely workable.
