Super value, Extremely compact, Very well equipped, Easy to use, Great App, & Brilliant support.

The media could not be loaded. So hopefully without sending any reader to sleep, boy do you get a lot for your money, various mounts including things like a handlebar type mount, belt clip (as I call it) and tripod fixing to name but a few. On top of all of this the camera itself is tiny in size but not in capabilities, various video & image formats, special effects, sepia, negative etc are available amongst others. The touch screen is full of information so you have everything you need to know right in front of you and it's well placed & simple to understand. Now on to the app, it's better than I expected, has been well thought out and designed, and again like the screen, it displays lots and lots of info and control, but what I wasn't expecting is a real time view of what the camera sees whilst it is recording including being able to change various recording modes from the iPhone screen and when holding the phone in landscape mode you are provided with a full screen view but still have camera info and controls. Just to explain my final two images, a lot of users suggest for faster transfer it is suggested that the memory card is removed from the camera and placed in a card reader, but i have found that with an iPhone and a USB C to USB C cable I can plug the camera directly into my iPhone letting me view and transfer files super quickly. Now finally for anyone still reading, my comment in my title on the company support stems from at least two if not more things, the first is how quickly the support team responded when I asked for advice, but not only how quick they responded, but that that initial response also included the advice I needed. And secondly, there are lots of Facebook groups out there created and run by users only that are listed as being unofficial, whereas Akaso have not only created the Facebook group but are fully involved in the site, which I think is going above & beyond. At the end of the images is a very short time laps taken with the EK7000 Pro and i have to say it was very very easy.

A great budget 4K action camera

I've bought three of these and have had to return one because it was faulty. I start with this comment, to let you know if the sound and video quality aren't good, then you should return the camera, because when they are working correctly, this little action camera is very good indeed. The EK7000 Pro seems to have gone through a slight design update, as some have the awkward little panel on the bottom that you have to pick open with your fingernail to access the battery, much the same as the standard EK7000, while others have a much nicer sliding panel which you slide sideways until it springs open to reveal the battery and then remains attached to the camera body. Much better! In addition to that revision, the sliding panel EK7000 Pro cameras have a tripod thread on the underside, while others don't. It's not a big issue, as the kit comes with a tripod mount cage for the camera, but it's a nice addition to keep your set-up as small as possible. If you're on a really tight budget, the standard EK7000 is a great buy, but if you can stretch to the EK7000 Pro, you get a touchscreen, electronic image stabilisation, the ability to change the field of view in camera (okay it's by cropping, but it does mean you don't have to do it later). You can take 20MP pictures with the EK7000 Pro where you're limited to lower res still images with the EK7000. IMO, the touchscreen makes the Pro worth the extra money in itself. (You MAY also get the better battery cover and tripod socket, depending on which revision of the EK7000 Pro you get, but don't count on it.)Power-up is quick, the camera checks the memory card is okay prior to being ready for operation, and then it's ready for you to hit record to start recording. One downside for me is that this camera only records in .MOV video format. I prefer MP4 for convenience and compatibility, but it's not a deal-breaker.The camera itself has a soft-touch finish which means it doesn't easily slip out of your hand, and the accessories are all good quality and there's a big selection of them so you have a way to attach the Akaso EK7000 Pro to just about anything. One notable omission is that of a sucker-mount for glass and other smooth surfaces. Adhesive mounts are provided, but for using this camera in and on vehicle windows, you might want to get a decent sucker mount.Battery life is excellent. After 1 hour 12 min continuous recording, the battery life was still indicating 2 bars, which is way better than I expected. Talking of continuous recording, the largest file the Akaso EK7000 Pro will record to is a file of about 4GB, which works out at about 21 minutes' recording. After that it starts recording to a new file. It will record in shorter recording durations if you wish in "loop recording" mode. This allows you to record in 1, 3 or 5 minute video files, which will continue to be saved to the memory card until the card is full, at which point the video writing "loops" around and starts over-writing previously recorded video, starting from the oldest file onwards. It's much the same as a car dash camera.I can't fault the Akaso EK7000 Pro. I didn't have very high expectations of the camera, as I've had budget GoPro clones in the past, and some have been okay for limited use, others have given terrible video quality, though Akaso came highly recommended. Not only did the Akaso EK7000 Pro not disappoint, but it far exceeded my expectations and is an absolute bargain budget action camera. Clearly there are some quality control issues, as I had to return one faulty camera , but I immediately ordered another Akaso EK7000 Pro to replace it, such is my appreciation of the camera. If you're buying one to take some important footage, make sure you test the camera is working perfectly prior to the big event.Sound and video quality are more than acceptable at this price point (I also have a Panasonic GH5M2, so I know what great 4K video looks like) and battery life is exceptional. All in all, highly recommended at this price point!

Excellent value for money

Having shopped around for an action camera (cant afford a GoPro) I stumbled upon a number of available via amazon.I read a number of tech site reviews, as well as the verified purchases on here and plumped for this model. The box arrived on time and with the camera securely fixed to the lid (took a while to realise I needed a screw driver to remove it). It comes inside the waterproof case and feels solid when inside. The camera itself when outside the waterproof case does feel lightweight and a little “plasticky”, but is easy to carry. The contents of the box include a quick start guide and a ton of accessories, most of which I have no idea how to use, or what they are for. It would help if there were some instructions, or basic diagrams to advise. It would be great if it came with a wrist strap as standard. It comes with 2 batteries and a charger with micro USB cable and is easy to replace the battery when needed.I used the camera on a recent holiday to Cornwall for bodyboarding and sea swimming pics and it works great, it even floats (slowly) if you let go.The battery life, could be better for longer days out and to save having to go out with the extra, but for my use (day at the beach), I managed about 1 hours worth of overall use, which was mainly still images and about 20 minutes of video.Takes great images and videos, some have complained of sound issues when in the waterproof case, but my model had none and you could hear conversations and water/bubbles etc when in use. I wish it was easier to navigate the menu, I am using more as a point and shoot device, so not a real issue, but if I wanted to delve into the options, the software isn’t the most intuitive.Would I buy it again knowing what I know of the device? Absolutely. For the price it does a great job.
