Great bit of kit
I bought this for crafting, mainly cutting thin wood and using the sanding tools. It does a great job and I’m very impressed. Be sure to wear safety goggles, as with any tool of this nature.

Not bad!
This arrived with parts missing but I have to say its worth buying as its a good machine and looks very versatile.

Powerful motor and loot of accessories
I bought this mains powered version because I wanted something with good power that doesn't fade (like the battery one I had). Works great. Sad that the carry case was broken on arrival.

Useful to have around
I needed to replace my bathroom door catch. Normally I would have found a handy man, but that would have meant having to wait a few weeks and having to pay a callout fee for what I knew was a small jobI couldn't remove the old catch because the screws had been painted over - the screwdriver kept slipping. So I used the rotary tool to reslot the screws. Only took ten minutes. Not bad for a 71yo widow! I was quite proud of myself!I am now looking at other niggling small jobs...it's a very versatile took kit.

Okay in a pinch
I bought this to tinker with things at work and make precision cuts, sanding etc.The power is perfectly fine, however, the tool bits that come with it are of fairly poor quality, the wire sanding tool basically exploded on first use and the sanding pads were fairly weak. The tool itself works perfectly fine and is easy to use and change heads with.

Great value and well-made
Works well on fiddly bits. I'm using it on my dolls house. The attachments are good quality and it's easy to hold. I read a lot of reviews before getting this. It's an up-grade for a very old rechargeable one and far superior.

Most versatile
Its always a dubious decision when buying something that is not expensive, but I always consider that the length of time anything will last is dependent upon how you treat it and what you expect from it. The range of cutting bits is quite impressive and so far I have only used two of them. They seemed to work fine. The only thing I found so far that needed improvement was the OFF switch. With most power tools, by design, turning it OFF is always easier than turning it ON. In this case it was tricky doing both until I modified the plastic case (see photo). Overall this is one of those tools I have always wanted but never got round to getting. Now I have one I am just looking for things to use it for. If circumstances dictate I may update this review as time goes on. For now I would recommend it.

When is a dremmel not a dremmel?
When you buy a generic version perhaps?Frankly didn’t want to pay dremmel prices for as much as I knew the tool would be used. This works (probably) just as well to be honest.Plenty of attachments. Used it on several occasions for different jobs and it hasn’t let me down yet.Case is a bit fiddly to close and fire the tool back in though. Plug never seems to fit in right
