A great little kit.The milk cotton yarn is super soft and yummy. The balls are small which makes it very travel friendly. It also comes in a resealable vinyl bag. I just started it, but it looks like it has plenty of yarn and comes with two hooks, one for the squares, the other for the border, nippers, make sure you hold the yarn under tension to cut, a retractable measuring tape, stitch markers and darning needles.As an experienced crocheter, I have some notes. The yarn has a loose twist so will have a tendency to split, go slow until you get used to it. You can also over-twist it to compensate. The pattern is well written, if you are familiar with written patterns. It does not have a chart. If you are a very beginner and are having trouble, there is a QR code to tutorial videos, they are slow paced and show her hands well. If you are still having trouble, look for other videos where they use the knife grip instead of the pencil grip and that may help. I use the knife grip when crocheting.

This was great for me as a beginner at crochet! I like that it came with everything you need. It was hard for me to understand the instructions in the book- but there are plenty of video tutorials out there that helped me get started.The colors are great and the yarn is soft - but it does tend to unravel while you crochet. In the pic you can see the unraveling pieces of yarn on the hook. It makes it challenging to work with, but it’s still doable with lots of patience and undoing and redoing parts!

Surprisingly nice kit for the price. The yarn is on the cheaper side but it comes with two hooks, tape measure, stitch counters, needles & snippers. Literally everything you need.Instructions are easy & straightforward. They have both pictures & written how tos for both the pattern as well as general stitches. Overall very pleased with the purchase.

This comes with a lot of different items, but they aren’t the best quality. It is a beginner kit, and I have found the instructions to be complicated. The yarn is also not great quality and keeps unraveling making it hard to actually crochet.

I was excited to get this and start making my blanket. I am a just learning to crochet and the description stated it was for beginners with step by step instructions. This is NOT for beginners and does not have step by step instructions. It has instructions with pictures on how to make the different stitches, a QR code to watch YouTube videos of the different stitches which goes fast and are not in order. It gives vague steps on what to do but there are no instructions on how to fully make any piece of the blanket. The other issue is the quality of the yarn. It is impossible to keep it taut enough to make a decent stitch and is so loose that my hook kept going through the middle of the yarn when trying to grab pieces and bring them through. I have restarted so many times that I am pretty sure I will run out of yarn. This is neither for beginners or easy!

If I were a beginner, this kit would make me hate crocheting. The instructions are horrible. I got through it by watching a couple of you tube videos. Now, I am about 60 squares in and am running out of white yarn. I know I won’t be able to match the same shade of white, especially since the labels are in what looks like Chinese. So frustrating. Oh and the yarn is super cheap and hard to work with. I wish I wouldn’t have been so forgiving in the beginning and sent it back. Now I have all this time invested and not enough yarn to finish the project.
